Dylan Mesman Dylan Mesman 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Saline | 2024 State MI , Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI , and Brody Kosin Brody Kosin 6'6" | 225 lbs | TE Clarkston | 2024 State MI are all-stars at the position with opportunities to shine. Today I will dive very deep into each prospect, and even give an insight into the updated 2024 rankings dropping soon.
Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI
This offseason has convinced me that Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI is currently the best and most proven TE in the 2024 class. The offers have recently exploded for Prieskorn, as he’s now been offered by Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Arkansas, Penn State, and many more teams. He’s one of the highest-ranked TEs in the nation, and with star QB Parker Picot Parker Picot 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Rochester Adams | 2023 State MI returning for another season, along with being on a Veer offense, Prieskorn is going to continue getting those catches while manhandling people on the line.
Why is Prieskorn ranked so high? To put it simply, the existing resume is terrific, and the future looks very bright.
Prieskorn helped lead Rochester Adams to their first State Championship since the early 2000s, and he did this while dominating some of the top teams in the state. He was great during the regular season, but his performances in the playoffs undoubtedly impressed college scouts. Even though Belleville dominated Adams at Ford Field, Prieskorn proved himself worthy of the spotlight with 117 yards and two touchdowns. Expect a significant jump in the rankings for Prieskorn. He is truly a top-tier athlete.
Dylan Mesman Dylan Mesman 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Saline | 2024 State MI
Part of an incredibly talented Saline team, Dylan Mesman Dylan Mesman 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Saline | 2024 State MI is a 6’5″ beast who is a polished talent with a few offers from Cincinnati and Minnesota. He’s shown many flashes of great blocking and catching, and I believe he’ll receive many more offers from top-tier programs soon. Although not nationally ranked as high as Prieskorn, I see their ceilings being remarkably similar.
As for next season and beyond, I would be shocked if he doesn’t dominate over the next two seasons. Much of this comes down to one man; CJ Carr CJ Carr 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Saline | 2024 State MI . The top QB in the state, Carr and Mesman, will be a scary good duo for the next two seasons. Though, for Mesman to break through as a prospect, it is vital that Saline makes a good playoff run.
Brody Kosin Brody Kosin 6'6" | 225 lbs | TE Clarkston | 2024 State MI
Equally talented to those above, Kosin plays for a historically great Clarkston program that currently has many question marks. His skill is undisputed, as he stands at 6’6″ with great hands and route-running ability. He’s had a good offseason with some new tape, and he’s a guy I can see getting those elite offers
The Clarkston program is going through a lot of change as they attempt to find their first new head coach in 35 years. In addition, the Wolves will have a change at Quarterback. Though playing in the OAA Red means that Kosin will be playing against some elite D1 programs, he’ll surely be looked at by many college programs.
