Over the weekend in Broken Arrow, the Sooner 7 Shootout took place in partnership with DR Sportz. Some of the best players in Oklahoma were on hand for the event and while Sooner 7 certainly had plenty of teams and firepower throughout the age divisions, other Oklahoma teams did well throughout the weekend as well. In this post, we take a look at some of the prospects that shined on the offensive side of the ball. Stay tuned to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the rest of the week for more breakdowns.
In Case You Missed It
Boston Carrasco
Boston
Carrasco

State
OK
– 2025 ATH – Jenks
(Played With CA Kings)
The first of two offensive standouts from the CA Kings program is Jenks 2025 athlete Boston Carrasco Boston Carrasco 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Union | 2025 State OK . At this point, we’re not sure what Carrasco projects to at the next level but that doesn’t matter because he is a 2025 prospect. Plenty of time for that in the future. Carrasco has been a prospect that we’ve wanted to watch in person for quite some time. He has great film that he’s tweeted out but we’re waiting for him to have the same type of impact at the varsity level. After watching him in person and running around, he certainly doesn’t look like a 2025 prospect and appears to be ready to make that jump to the varsity level. He’s going to be able to learn from 2023 wide receiver Ty Walls Ty Walls 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Jenks | 2023 State OK this fall and that should give him a great idea of what’s to be expected of him moving forward with the two-time state champs.
J"Kharri Thomas – 2024 ATH – Owasso
(Played With 918 Elite)
This could be a huge fall for Owasso 2024 speedster J"Kharri Thomas. The quick athlete has been lower on the depth chart because it’s been absolutely loaded at the running back and wide receiver positions. Thomas now has an opportunity to have a big season as the Rams lose quite a bit at those positions. And the Rams have shown that they can take advantage of defenses with undersized but lightning quick receivers. And that’s what Thomas brings to the table. While playing with 918 Elite over the weekend, Thomas showcased a variety of skills throughout the tourney. He could turn short passes into long gains with his running after the catch. He had no problems catching balls in traffic and was also big for 918 Elite in the deep passing game. He could be a breakout player for Owasso this fall.
Orie Walker

Heritage Hall | 2023

– 2023 WR – Heritage Hall|
(Played With CA Kings)
You always have to manage your reactions when it comes to 7v7 football and some of the guys who standout during these tournaments. 7v7 football is clearly different from what we see on Fridays in the fall but sometimes you can’t help but be impressed. That’s the case here with Heritage Hall 2023 wide receiver Orie Walker Orie Walker 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Heritage Hall | 2023 State OK , who was also an offensive standout for the CA Kings, an organization out of the Oklahoma City area. Walker is a two-sport star for Heritage Hall as he’s also an important part of the basketball team that just made a run to the state tournament. On the football field over the weekend, Walker made some of the best catches we saw throughout the weekend. With 2022 star WR Gavin Freeman Gavin Freeman 5'10" | WR Heritage Hall | 2022 State OK graduating, that could open up things for Walker to be a breakout star for the Chargers this fall.
Sedrick Frazier
Sedrick
Frazier
5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH
Edmond North | 2023
State
OK
– 2023 ATH – Edmond North
(Played With Sooner 7)
Talk about making the most of your opportunities. Edmond North 2023 wide receiver Sedrick Frazier Sedrick Frazier 5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH Edmond North | 2023 State OK didn’t play in every game throughout the tournament but when he was in there, he was absolutely electric. That’s to be expected from one of the best slot receivers in the state’s 2023 class. Frazier started blowing up as a prospect last spring and that should only continue throughout this spring and summer. Frazier was a big play waiting to happen for Sooner 7’s Black squad. Frazier came up big in a bracket play game against 918 Elite when he beat his man deep and caught what would be the game-winning touchdown with just seconds remaining. Otherwise, Sooner 7 Black would have been eliminated earlier than expected. Frazier was consistently getting open and was nearly impossible to bottle up in 1 on 1 situations.
Tykie Andrews
Tykie
Andrews
6'0" | WR
Enid | 2023
State
OK
– 2023 WR – Enid
(Played With Sooner 7)
One of the more consistent playmakers throughout the weekend was Enid 2023 wide receiver Tykie Andrews Tykie Andrews 6'0" | WR Enid | 2023 State OK while he was playing with Sooner 7’s Blue team. Andrews has been a wide receiver that we like in the 2023 class and he’s been somewhat underrated when it comes to the class as a whole. A lot of that can probably be attributed to the fact that the offensive skill positions in Oklahoma’s 2023 are absolutely loaded and deep. The players that are already on the radar are some of the best in the state at that position. Andrews should be making his way towards that conversation and Enid as a whole should be a dark horse team to watch out for this fall. Once again, we came away impressed with Andrews and his ability to just get open and catch the ball. Sometimes it doesn’t have to be more difficult than that.
