This list carries a lot of weight. From well-known prospects to prospects we had our first looks on Sunday, this group of six standouts in Part II have a lot of heavy hitters, plus prospects that are just showing out their potential in our eyes as we really liked the Class of 2025 on this list.
Find out who brought the juice in Part II!
Brady Anderson Brady Anderson 6'1" | 195 lbs | DB Edina | 2023 State MN | WR/DB | Edina | 2023
Brady is certainly the swiss army knife of this Potenza Sports roster. With Brady you get a herd of skillsets all bunched together to create versality on both sides of the football from the Edina prospect. Brady shows an active trigger to get to the football quickly as a longer CB that unleashes tons of physicality with his contact level. If you need a chaser on special teams, this kid will fill up with speed and stamina and play smash mouth play wherever you line him up. For his size (6’2 195) he can really punch out of his stance from the wide receiver position and erupt with speed and acceleration to convert on his routes with some well-noted agility when trying to get separation. I also love watching his elusive footwork come out on these efficient routes as he puts together. Brady’s strides are also really long, making it easy to create easier separation. I have a gut feeling this young man will turn some heads this summer at camps and come out with a handful of Division II and Division I offers.
Brandon Riddle Brandon Riddle 6'3" | 225 lbs | TE MN | TE | Orono | 2023
I swear Brandon’s range just keeps getting better and better the more I watch his reps. His ability to get a natural extension on Sunday morning was even more intriguing from the last time I watched him in person (and I have watched this young man, quite a bit). He also showed a quicker and more aggressive jump off the snap from the practice reps I watched on Sunday morning at Park Center. Those two skillsets alone along with a leaner build coming into prospect camp season, should really open up a lot of eyes to Division I programs this summer.
Josh Wedel | TE | Chaska | 2025
This is a young man college coaches need to watch carefully over the coming years. Josh already has elite size (6’4 220) but his skills are already starting to develop, especially when the ball is in reach. I got a great feel of Josh’s ball skills and showed off long arms that could extend with great width. I believe improvement with his route-running ability and gosh, if he can create physical leverage with a growing blocking ability over the coming years, this Chaska Hawk could be well on his way to playing next-level football when it all said and done. Cannot wait to see what the tape looks like on this young man as he puts it together this summer and it grows into the 2022 season!
Chase Ullom Chase Ullom 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Wayzata | 2023 State MN | LB | Wayzata | 2023
Chase showed significant mobility as an anchor in the middle of the field and showed how well his feet could process in multiple directions from the glimpse I had of his in pass coverage. He showed a great ability to close the gaps over the middle and put wide receivers in no man’s land. Based on some of the film I saw from last season, this kid is a human wrecking ball if left untouched and carries a massive motor that almost had 100 tackles at middle linebacker for the Trojans. The physicality he brings from the mat, certainly formulates well with his strong level of contact he brings on every play.
Liam Cummins Liam Cummins 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Edina | 2023 State MN | LB | Edina | 2023
Liam was another intriguing prospect I got to watch at our Prep Redzone Minnesota showcase this winter. It is very easy to see why Liam was a team captain for the Hornets in 2021, as you can read into his leadership on the field with his ability to spit out commands on the fly to his teammates. I like how Liam adjusts with his vision by the way he reads the play from start to finish. As a sizeable linebacker, he will need to develop slightly better awareness in pass coverage, but he was yet again another prospect that showed promise from start of the practice to the end of the practice as far as my eyes could see.
JP Person | QB | Totino-Grace | 2025
JP was a first-look QB prospect I got to watch for the first time on Sunday. The biggest skillset I grasped was this young man’s developing touch ball. From the reps I got to watch from him, slowly throughout the more reps he got more comfortable on intermediate routes. I believe with some developed growth as far as his poise over the next coming years, he should grow into his potential with the Eagles.
One More Prospect to Watch:
Michael Robertson | WR | Andover | 2023
