Georgia vs Florida High School Showcase: Watch List LBs

The Georgia vs Florida High School Showcase features some of the top talent from two of the most heavily recruited states in the nation. Let’s take a look at some of the Linebackers who are on the GA vs FL HS Showcase Watch List. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-311764" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/03/IMG_4950-231x300.jpg" alt="" width="231" height="300" /> [player_tooltip player_id="34076" first="Malcolm" last="Mccain"] | 6’1’’ 225 lbs | Brookwood High School | Class of 2023 McCain is the 8th ranked Linebacker in the state of Georgia, it is not a surprise with the way he attacks the ball and how fast he play "in game". He earned All State, 2nd Team All County, and 1st Team All Region honors this past fall. His production on the field was absolutely dominant, especially considering that he did this at the 7A level. He finished the season with 135 Total Tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, 1 interception, and 6 Quarterback pressures. He currently has offers from Miami (OH), Memphis, Rice, Georgia State, East Carolina, and Central Florida. &nbsp; Jacob Cruz | 6’5’’ 210 lbs | North Cobb Christian | Class of 2023 Cruz finished the season with 1st Team All State honors and was named Region Defensive Player of the Year. He tallied 121 Total Tackles,  2 Forced Fumbles, and 1 Blocked Punt this past fall for North Cobb Christian. He also had a Pick 6 in the GA vs FL Underclassmen Game in January. Look for his recruiting to pick up over this spring and summer. He is currently receiving interest from Benedict College. &nbsp; Wade McCormick | 6’1’’ 195 lbs | Prince Avenue Christian | Class of 2023 McCormick was named 2nd Team All Region this past season, and that was only after 5 starts. He was a solid contributor in the GA vs FL Underclassmen game with 1 Sack, 2 Tackles For a Loss, and a QB Hurry. For Prince Avenue, he contributed to an already stingy defense with 62 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 8 QB hurries, and finished number 1 in the region for tackles. &nbsp; Dajwon Deloach | 6’2’’ 215 lbs | Northside High School | Class of 2023 Deloach was named to the 5A All State team and the First Team All Region team this season. He had 115 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 4 forced fumbles, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. His 3.1 GPA, athletic ability, great size, and 6’7’’ wingspan will attract many college coaches. He already has 4 offers from Jacksonville St,  Appalachian St, Georgia St, and Liberty. &nbsp; Jared Rodriguez | 6’ 200 lbs | Haralson County High School | Class of 2023 Rodriguez is just a pesky defender. He caused plenty of problems for Team Florida during the GA vs Florida Underclassmen Game, and even caused issues for Team Georgia’s offense during practice leading up to the game. It’s not a surprise that he was named 1st Team All Region as an Outside Linebacker this past fall. &nbsp; Kade Moledor | 6’2’’ 220 lbs | Dawson County High School | Class of 2023 Moledor is a throwback player who plays the position with the grit and bad intentions that you look for from a Linebacker. For the second year in a row, he was named First Team All Region. He also earned Player of the Month honors during the season in the month of September. His play on the field, great attitude, size, and 3.8 GPA is exactly what college coaches are looking for. Look for his recruiting to heat up this spring.
