Elite Football Combine: Missouri 2024 quarterbacks

The Elite Football Combine is one of the top events in Missouri every year and this year’s event, held on March 12 at the Lou Fusz indoor facility in Earth City, did not disappoint. We will be taking a look at some the top performers at the event divided by class year, positions and home state, and listed alphabetically. For more Combine coverage, please check out the links at the bottom of the page. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="254491" first="Jeremiah" last="Cunningham"], Farmington</strong> Cunningham measured in at 5-feet-11 and 176 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.99 seconds and the pro-agility in 4.57. He recorded a powerball toss of 31 feet 10 inches, a broad jump of 8 feet 6 inches and vertical leap of 24 inches. We’ve had Cunningham listed and ranked as an athlete after watching his sophomore film and seeing his sophomore stats. He rushed for 485 yards and seven touchdowns on 64 carries and caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. He completed two of three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/11620861/619175fc66562e08bcf9c6bf" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="185609" first="Joseph" last="Federer"], Marquette</strong> Federer, who measured in a 5-9 3/4 and 173 pounds, showed good speed, quickness and athleticism. He turned in one of the top pro-agility times of the day with a mark of 3.97 seconds. He also ran the 40 in 4.73, recorded a powerball toss of 35-6, a broad jump of 9-1 and a vertical of 31. Federer’s sophomore highlights show his athletic ability to avoid pass rushers, buy time with his feet and then find receivers downfield. With Marquette returning one one of the top quarterbacks in the St. Louis area in 2023 standout [player_tooltip player_id="207474" first="Jack" last="Ahlbrand"], we probably won’t get to see much of Federer until his senior season unless the Mustangs find ways to get his speed and athleticism on the field at another position. Federer was credited with three carries for 39 yards and a touchdown at the varsity level in 2021. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/14770499/61796a1b7bd4380918bffc34" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="174949" first="Dalton" last="Hosack"], Holt</strong> Measuring in at 6-0 3/4 and 225 pounds, Hosack ran the 40 in 5.1 seconds and the pro-agility in 5. He recorded a powerball toss of 33 feet, a vertical leap of 24 inches and broad jump of 7-9. We saw Hosack, a left-handed quarterback, last summer in a 7-on-7 Tournament at St. Dominic while he was playing for Chaminade. Now at Holt in Wentzville after transferring, Hosack will be among the players competing for playing time this fall. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126260" first="Cole" last="McKey"], CBC </strong> McKey, who measured in a 5-9 and 161 pounds, ran the 40 in 5.09 and the pro-agility in 4.78. He recorded a 24-inch vertical leap, a broad jump of 8-0 and a powerball toss of 29-1. The backup quarterback for state champion CBC as a sophomore, McKey is a more traditional pocket passer who can throw it all over the field — as evidenced by his strong sophomore film. He completed 16 of 20 pass attempts for 158 yards and a touchdown on the varsity level and self-reported stats of 133 of 220 passing (60.5 percent) for 1,945 yards, with 26 touchdowns against two interceptions, across all levels in 2021. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/14863671/617efd00ab9272091069986b" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="313703" first="Ayden" last="Sullivan"], Holt</strong> Measuring in at 6-0 1/2 and 182 pounds, Sullivan posted a pro-agility time of 4.35 seconds, a 40 time of 5.01, a powerball toss of 34-3, a vertical of 28 inches and a broad jump of 8-1.
