He’s a rare blend of size, speed, and athleticism. He really could play either DE or TE at the Power 5 level, but I like him as a TE. His movement skills and hands for a young man his size, are really impressive. He’s also a willing blocker in the run game. Defensively Tayvion does a good job of using his length and athleticism to beat blockers. Once he beats his blocker he’s gets to the ball in a hurry. He also does a great job of affecting throws by getting his hands up and batting or affecting throws. Galloway already boasts offers from 4 Big Ten schools along with offers from Pitt and LSU among others. He’s well on his way to being a 30 offer kid.
Damarion Witten Damarion Witten 6'3" | 215 lbs | TE Glenville | 2024 State OH (Glenville) 6’3 215- Glenville and Tedd Ginn Sr. are flush with young talent. Witten is one of those young players. At 6’3 215 Witten has good length and size to go with it. He’s a smooth route runner, who never looks rushed. He has great timing in high pointing catches. The Tarblooders like to get Witten matched up in man defense in the endzone and throw him jump balls. Witten is also very savvy at shielding defenders in order to make catches. One thing to keep an eye on is that Damarion is also a talented quarterback and got some time at the position as a sophomore. Will he continue to play and be developed at that position? Damarion has offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, and Iowa State.
Gavin Grover Gavin Grover 6'6" | 220 lbs | TE Olentangy | 2024 State OH (Olentangy) 6’6 220- Gavin is a more traditional inline tight end who can split out a little bit as needed. He does a good job with his routes and is a good hands catcher. The Braves will move him around a with motion and then they’ll look to get him the ball and other times they’ll use him as a lead blocker. As a blocker he does a good job of going to the defender rather than letting the defender come to him. Grover doesn’t currently hold any offers, but I expect his recruitment to start to take off this off season. I project Grover to the D1 FCS or D1 FBS mid-major level.
Isaac Hill Isaac Hill 6'3" | 205 lbs | TE Steubenville | 2024 State OH (Steubenville) 6’3 205- When you turn on Hill’s film the first thing you see is his suddenness. While he may not have top end speed, he does a good job of creating separation by stop and go and breaks in his routes. Hill does a good job of tracking the ball and making the catch down the field. As a blocker hill is a willing and physical. I’d like to see him continue to work on his release off the line of scrimmage and do some inline blocking to diversify his game.
AJ Miller AJ Miller 6'4" | 225 lbs | TE Pickerington North | 2024 State OH (Pickerington North) 6’3 200- Miller does a nice job with his routes. He gets in and out of his cuts with ease. At this point miller mostly lines up outside most of his routes are of the shorter variety. He’s a willing blocker who should continue to get stronger in that phase of his game as he continues to fill out and get stronger. As he gets more varsity reps I’m interested to see how he is able to stretch the field vertically. I’m looking forward to seeing how AJ continues to grow and develop.
