In my eyes, Ohio is home to some of the best high school football there is to offer. It's also home to quite a bit of sleepers. Today we wanted to look at some of the most underrated 2023 prospects in the state of Ohio. As of now only one prospect listed holds a single FBS offer ([player_tooltip player_id="160222" first="Marcus" last="Moore"] was offered by Akron). The group as a whole is quite underrecruited, but I think they could see their stock rise fairly quickly either this spring or coming fall. Make sure to keep an eye on them as they get ready for their senior campaigns. Here's who you need to know!

DL: [player_tooltip player_id="160222" first="Marcus" last="Moore"], 6’2", 310, Massillon Washington
Men Mr. Moore's size aren't supposed to move like he does. Marcus explodes off the football low and has a violent punch on contact. He can sit and anchor down in the run game & will give up little to no ground. He's quite athletic as a rusher and has shown he can stalemate pulling guards on gap scheme runs. I think he has a ton of positional upside as a head-up zero, a shade, or even a three-technique if need be.

OL: Trent Evans, 6'5", 250, Jackson
When I turned on the film, one of the first things that jumped out to me was how well Evans moves. Yes, he's light on his feet, but he plays with a distinct edge. He's dominant on combo blocks and will help create major vertical displacement on down linemen. He does a good job punching on a rise and rolling his hips on contact.

QB: [player_tooltip player_id="274364" first="Drew" last="Novak"], 6’6", 195, Western Brown
A pure gunslinger who can improvise when the pocket breaks down. Drew led the nation in passing this past fall and was spectacular ID'ing matchups pre-snap. He's willing to sit in the pocket against the blitz and knows how to speed up his internal clock. He shows fantastic touch on throws over thirty-plus yards and will drop the ball right into the breadbasket.

DB: Lorenzo Hudson, 6'3", 170, Winton Woods
A tall safety prospect who loves contact. Hudson has long arms and will consistently shoot his hand in front of a receiver to knock away passes. He's also a natural at reading route concepts and keying the quarterback's body language. I think, based on his size and footwork, he could be a really intriguing cornerback at the next level as well.

ATH: Anthony Murphy, 6'3", 210, Bishop Hartley
A gifted two-player who could have a future at either tight end or outside linebacker. He's silky smooth in coverage and will break once the quarterback takes his opposite hand off the football. He's a swift mover who closes ground quickly and will create havoc if not accounted for in pass protection. Murphy has an innate ability to sneak behind coverage in the red area and has the hands to haul in contested throws.
