PRZ Next Watch List Vol. 2 – Alabama Offensive Newcomers

The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in middle school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future.
By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are <strong>not</strong> rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all list. These are the prospects that I have seen, that stand out to me.
Below, we'll take a look at class of 2026 Alabama prospects labeled as Athletes and offensive positions, that are currently on the Watch List.

Standing 5-foot-10 and 155 pounds. Good looking quarterback prospect with a very natural release and throwing motion. Advanced footwork in his drops. Does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield and moving in and out of the pocket to create throwing lanes. Named to the Metro South Players of the Year.

Big time prospect out of St. Paul Episcopal standing 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds. Imposing stature for only being in eighth grade. Looks like an ideal offensive tackle going forward with long arms and legs. Was a standout and team captain of Team Mississippi in the FBU National Championship tournament the past two years. Named to PRZ Next All-Tournament team.

A prospect with a lot of potential standing 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds right now. Was a standout this past season at Spanish Fort Middle School this past year, starting at Right Tackle and Defensive End. Country strong kid who overwhelms defenders. Once he engages, he continues his blocks all the way down field. Consistent effort and advanced run blocker.

Standing 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds, he's part of an impressive incoming class at Central High School in Phenix City. Has vision advanced beyond his years at this point and makes the game look easy. Plays at a different speed than others on the field. Plays with a special combination of speed and power. Just as likely to run through someone, as he is likely to run around them.

Very athletic quarterback who has the potential to be one of the tops in the state during his high school career. Already standing 6-foot and 155 pounds. Athletic kid who also shines on the hardwood and runs the 100/200/400/800 on the track. Has the ability to hurt defenses with his arms and legs. Finished middle career at Helena as back-to-back conference champions.

Fast, well-built and explosive are three adjectives to describe what Higgins brings to the table. Stands 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds right now. Clocked at a 4.04 in the shuttle and a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash. Will continue his football career at Mars Hill Bible High School, where his dad coaches. Finished eighth grade season with 16 touchdowns and 800 rushing yards. Also a standout in track.

Strong, compact wide receiver at 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds. Built more like a running back at this point of his development. Has dependable hands. Does the little things necessary to win such as blocking and picking up the tough yards to keep the chains moving. I see him settling in as dependable slot receiver that will keep defenses on their toes with his ability to run the ball too.

A very special athlete that started at Marubury Middle School before finishing his middle school career at Dothan Prep Academy. Finished his eighth grade season as the offensive MVP in football and defensive MVP in basketball. Traditionally a wide receiver, moved to quarterback for eighth grade and continued to dominate. Stands 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. Most recently was named a Top 5 finisher at the Dex Preps Combine, competing against high school athletes.
