Arinze Ejeckam – Oak Ridge
Ejeckam is quick and explosive out of his back pedal and reads opposing quarterbacks and receivers like a book. His break on passes was outstanding and his ability to recover was one of his best traits. Ejeckam stuck to receivers and knew how to play them when the ball was in the air. He did a great job of defeating blocks as well to make tackles for short gains. Ejeckam is a hard nosed corner who will fight against his matchup the entire night without backing down. He shows much heart and talent and will be a name to know.
Braylon Conely – Atascocita
Conely is definitely next up on the Eagles defense. He shows much versatility, being able to play at the corner spot or as a safety. Conely is physical and can tackle in space confidently, and has the skill to play man on the outside on an island. He plays in the box when needed as well and makes key stops. Conely is strong at the point of attack and sheds blocks with ease. He is a high spirited player who just makes plays and who is exciting to watch!
Ashton Hampton – Pearland
Hampton is a defensive back with much length who has a large catch radius. In coverage, he covers much ground and makes it very difficult for quarterbacks to through over him. Hampton plays the ball very well, showing great ball skills and can also get in the mix on the run. He plays fast and shows very good recognition and shows potential to be a game changer the more he develops. Hampton has a very bright future!
Diego Sanchez – Dickinson
Sanchez looks like a seasoned vet when he plays. He has already become a key player for the Gator defense and after watching the film you see why. The ball skills and recognition on plays was top notch and the way Sanchez defends the deep ball is very impressive. Most of the time, as the last line on defense, Sanchez comes up big. He has strong hands and has good length to defend passes without picking up a penalty. Sanchez is one to watch and keep eyes on because he is a very good player already who can only get better.
Ephraim Dotson Ephraim Dotson 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Fort Bend Hightower | 2024 State TX – Hightower
Dotson has that dawg in him and does not back down from any challenge. He steps up in man on man coverage and is a physical corner. He shows good strength and the point of attack and will try to bully opposing receivers. Dotson is quick on his reads and reacts accordingly. Dotson will be an issue for the next couple of seasons.
Dravon Wilson – New Caney
Wilson shows good speed, hips, and drive on the ball at the corner position. He does a very good job in man coverage, flipping his hips and putting himself in position to make plays. Wilson is quick and shows high awareness when in coverage. He attacks the ball when he recognizes screens and will not be denied when making the stop. Wilson’s skills in space is eye catching and he shows already that he has what it takes to be a top corner in the area.
