Dotson is one the top cornerbacks in the class of 2024. He is physically dominate at the point of attack, he has violent hands that he takes pride in getting on receivers early in their routes and he plays the passing lanes with intentions of making turnovers routinely. The Hightower product has been a thorn in offenses side each game he plays and had an All-District campaign in 2022. Dotson is a multi-sport athlete, who has been blazing up the track this spring running the 400M. He picked up his first offer from Eastern Illinois and has interest, as well as junior day invites from San Diego State, Dartmouth and he made a visit to SMU this offseason. Dotson has the skill set that lockdown cornerbacks posses and I expect his offers to ramp up heading into his senior season.

Dotson tracks the ball in the air with ease, causing turnovers on the regular. He possesses disciplined eyes, reading and reacting with great quickness and making plays before they can get started. Dotson is also a very good tackler from his position, showing no fear sticking his nose into a crowded area. He has good hips and can stay with the best receivers in coverage. Dotson shows much promise in his overall game, getting better every year and it should be no different heading into next season.

Dotson is technically sound, he plays with violent hands when in press coverage and he uses his extended arm length to redirect receivers off of their axis to reroute them. He has fluid hips, his ability to turn, run and stay engaged with receivers, allows him to shut down his side of the field. Dotson comes up in run support under control, he plays with great pad level and delivers heavy blows to his opponent. When the football comes in his vicinity, Dotson purses the pass with controlled aggression and he makes plays on the football routinely. Ephraim put up phenomenal numbers in 2022 at Hightower High School, registering 49 tackles, 5 interceptions, 5 PBUs, while being named 1st team all-district. Yale and Dartmouth have invited Dotson to Junior Days this spring. Colleges will no doubt be getting more looks at Dotson, who has the traits that next level cornerbacks possess.
