2023 Rankings Newcomers: Running Backs

We have a good deal of diversity among the running backs. We have a bigger power back. We have some smaller more versatile backs. You name it we have it. Today's ranking's newcomers come from the running back position.
Click Here to See the Complete Ohio 2023 Rankings
[player_tooltip player_id="274389" first="Lamar" last="Sperling"] (Archbishop Hoban) 5'10 180- Hoban had a big playoff run that took them all the way to the D2 State championship game. A huge part of that run was junior running back [player_tooltip player_id="274389" first="Lamar" last="Sperling"]. Sperling has a compact build and is a powerful running who runs with good balance which makes him a difficult tackle. He has the agility to make guys miss and isn't afraid to run between the tackles. Sperling comes in at #4 among running backs and #40 ovverall. Links: Twitter/Hudl [player_tooltip player_id="274391" first="Joe" last="Caswell"] (Anthony Wayne) 6'1 190- Caswell is a one cut, north and south runner who has excellent vision. His ability to find creases in opposing defenses, plant his foot, and immediately get north is strong. He's also a load to bring down once he gets a head of steam. As you can see in his high school film Joe is a perfect fit for a college offense that runs the zone run scheme. Rates as our 12th running back in the 2023 class.
