Here we focused on some of the talented instate 2024 quarterbacks! KJ Jackson KJ Jackson 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Saint James School | 2024 State AL -|6’3 210| |Saint James| had an extremely productive sophomore year for Saint James, he consistently led the offense and Saint James ended up having a great 10-2 season. Jackson showed how good of a passer he is last fall, as he accurately threw and delivered many tough-to-make passes. In total, Jackson put up some terrific numbers in the air, as he threw for 1,992 yards and 28 touchdowns. Jackson also has great mobility when necessary, he ended up also rushing for 139 yards and 7 touchdowns. Jackson is a terrific quarterback and athlete that can do just about anything required of his offense. Of course, this hasn’t gone unnoticed, as Jackson has received offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Penn State. Josh Flowers Josh Flowers 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Baker | 2024 State AL -|6’3 210| |Baker| is a fantastic in-state prospect that put up a phenomenal year for Baker last season. In total, Flowers passed for 1,992 yards and 20 touchdowns while also rushing for 859 yards and 12 touchdowns. Flowers has great size, arm strength, accuracy, mobility, and speed that have allowed him to be such a great quarterback. Flowers is more of a dual-threat, he can make all the necessary throws while also having the ability to take off and run. His dynamic play style has taken over games before, and he is only going to get better. Currently, Flowers only lists an offer from Florida, but that will definitely change as he heads into his junior season next fall! Caleb McCreary Caleb McCreary 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Montgomery Catholic School | 2024 State AL -|5’11 182| |Montgomery Catholic| Calen McCreary has been slept on for a while but has recently finally received some of the collegiate attention he deserves. McCreary is a talented dual-threat quarterback that can provide explosive plays both in the air and on the ground. Last fall, McCreary passed for 2,008 yards and 28 touchdowns, while also rushing for 331 yards and 5 touchdowns. McCreary has fantastic athleticism and arm talent that have helped elevate Montgomery Catholic’s offense. McCreary just recently received offers from both Nebraska and Georgia Tech, along with the ones he’s already held. Montgomery Catholic and are going to be a great team to keep an eye on going into next season! Eric Handley Eric Handley 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Pleasant Grove | 2024 State AL -|6’2 205| |Pinson Valley| has continued to impress, as he put together a great sophomore season. Handley passed for 1611 yards and 25 touchdowns and also rushed for 127 and 2 touchdowns. Handley showed off his progression as a quarterback greatly last fall, he developed an even better chemistry with star wide receiver , he showed his ability to deliver the ball in tough spots and could diagnose and avoid defensive pressure easily. Handley has a ton of great potential as a passer, and he is only going to improve more over the next few seasons at Pinson Valley, keep an eye on him this next season. Handley currently lists offers from Kentucky, UAB, and Troy, with more surely heading his way soon.
