The Class of ’24 is already headlined by Ferralez and Mitchell at the quarterback position, but Dunn is another young gun slinger that has a bright future. Dunn was a big surprise coming out the Blue Valley area this past season, as the sophomore would end the year as a <em>5A All-State Honorable Mention</em> selection. He’d go on to complete 204 of his 322 pass attempts for 2,587 yards and 19 touchdowns. He enters the rankings at No. 7 and is the 3rd ranked quarterback in the class.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="259779" first="Sage" last="Huffman"]</strong> – Blue Valley West, 5’9”. 160, RB
Huffman was another offensive prospect out of the Blue Valley area that made some noise this past season. Had the opportunity to see Huffman play during the opening round of the playoffs, and his performance was definitely attention grabbing. As was his play throughout the ’21 season, which led to a <i>6A All-State Honorable Mention</i> nod. Huffman ended his sophomore campaign averaging five yards per carry and rushed for over 1,400 yards with 13 scores.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="259823" first="Hank" last="Purvis"]</strong> – Bishop Carroll, 6’4”, 285, OL
Next up at No. 16 is the 2nd ranked offensive lineman in the class. Purvis proved to be an important piece on the left side of the line for the Golden Eagles. The sophomore wasn’t intimidated in his first varsity season, and he ended up earning a <em>5A All-State Honorable Mention </em>selection and a<em> 2nd Team All-City League</em> selection for his play at left guard. His size and skill set are sure to attract some recruiters this year.

The lengthy safety played well during the ’21 season. <em>He was an All-EKL Honorable Mention </em>selection after piling up 52 total tackles, four interceptions, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. His rangy frame paired with quick hips make it difficult for offenses to throw over the top of him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="262770" first="Colby" last="Gomez"]</strong> – Newton, 6’1”, 185, QB
For a player taking his first ever snaps at quarterback during his first varsity season; Gomez looked impressive. The first-year starter managed to take home an <em>All-AVCTL DI Honorable Mention</em> selection for his solid play. Gomez can make quick reads and does a good job of getting the ball out on time. His mobility makes him a threat in the ground game and he can extend plays. Really excited to see how the 5th ranked quarterback progresses heading into his junior year.
