With 13 WR in the Prep Redzone rankings for the class of 2023, it is easy to see that there is a lot of talent at the position. Here are five WR looking to have a breakout Senior season in 2022.

His play in 2021 helped the Little Giants of Fremont Ross to an 8-4 record and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays on the outside as an X and Z. He takes long strides to eat up the cushion of the DB in off man, sells the deep route before coming back to the QB, shows excellent hands as he catches the ball away from his frame and gains enough yardage for a first down. He is a very good blocker as he gets to the DB quickly on screens and uses his very good hand use and play strength to drive his man off the ball creating a lane for the WR to pick up significant yardage.

His play in 2021 was a bright spot in the 3-6 season for the Falcons of Bishop Fenwick. He plays as an outside WR both as an X and Z. He displays good hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem and shows good concentration in contested catch situations as he easily makes the catch with a CB draped over him. He displays very good competitive toughness as he is a very reliable target in the red zone. He does a good job of coming back to the QB showing good hands to make the catch and is elusive enough to avoid LB to pick up the first down.

His play in 2021 helped the Wauseon Indians to an 8-4 record and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays on the outside as an X and Z. He uses his good football intelligence to find the soft spot in zone, displays good hands to catch the ball away from his frame and uses his very good play speed and athletic ability to outrun LB and DB for a significant gain. A deep threat in the passing game, he effectively gets behind the CB on go routes, tracks the ball well in the air before making the catch over his shoulder and accelerates to top speed quickly for a long TD reception.

His play in 2021 helped the Tigers of Massillon Washington to an 11-3 record and advance to the 4th round of the playoffs. He plays on the outside as an X and Z. He shows very good quickness off the LOS, displays good hips as he breaks off his stem and displays good hands as he catches the ball. He shows very good YAC ability as he uses his very good athletic ability and play speed to take a short pass and turn it into a big gain.

His play in 2021 helped the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets to an 8-4 record and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays on the outside as an X and Z. He displays excellent ability in contested catch situations as he tracks the ball and catches it at its highest point with a CB in his face. Shows good blocking ability as he lowers his shoulder and displays good explosiveness as he knocks the DB to the ground.
