With 14 QB in the class of 2023 rankings for Prep Redzone, it is safe to say that there is a lot of talent at the QB position. Here are five QB looking to have a breakout Senior season in 2022 and lead their team to a state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id="93334" first="Evan" last="Ruzzo"] is the 9th ranked QB in the class of 2023 and is currently on the Prep Redzone watchlist. His play during 2021 helped the Springboro Panthers to five victories. He shows very good play speed and athletic ability as he explodes into the secondary on design runs. Shows good contact balance as he breaks tackles from larger DB and is difficult to stop in the open field as he shows the ability to score on long touchdown runs. As a passer, he sees the field well and quickly finds the open receiver before delivering an accurate ball to the correct shoulder maximizing YAC.

[player_tooltip player_id="146570" first="Mitchell" last="Irwin"] is the 10th ranked QB in the class of 2023 and is currently on the Prep Redzone Watchlist. In 2021, he helped the Senators win 5 games and average 28 points per game. He shows good football intelligence as he reads the defense and finds the open receiver before delivering an accurate ball. He shows good poise as he steps up in the pocket when a defender is in his face. Displays the ability to deliver the ball with accuracy and touch while on the move. Although primarily a pocket passer, he does show the ability to scramble when need be and lowers his shoulder to run over a DB to pick up a couple of extra yards and a 1st down.

[player_tooltip player_id="189461" first="Aidan" last="Rogers"] is the 11th ranked QB in the class of 2023 and is currently on the Prep Redzone Watchlist. His play in 2021 helped the Harvest Prep Warriors to a 12-3 record and a trip to the Division 5 semifinals. The warriors averaged 30.8 points per game on offense. He displays very good arm strength as he drives the ball about 50 yards on a rope with very good accuracy and touch as he throws the receiver open for a TD. Demonstrates good poise as he steps up in the pocket with a blitzing LB in his face and delivers an accurate ball. A very mobile QB who uses his great quickness and agility to get to the outside on design runs and shows very good play speed and acceleration as he outruns all defenders for a long touchdown run.

He played well in 2021 passing for 1593 yards and 10 TD while rushing for 1137 yards and 12 TD. He shows good play speed and athletic ability while running behind his pads and uses his excellent play strength and physical toughness to run over LB and DB with ease as he picks up big yardage. As a passer, he shows very good arm strength as he displays the ability to throw the ball 50+ yards and delivers the deep ball with very good accuracy and touch. On shorter passes, he reads the defense well and gets the ball out of his hands quickly once he finds the open receiver placing the ball on the correct shoulder maximizing YAC.

[player_tooltip player_id="160224" first="Jackson" last="Johnson"] is the 13th ranked QB in the class of 2023 and is currently on the Prep Redzone Watchlist. His play in 2021 helped the Quakers to an 8-4 record and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs while averaging 40.9 points per game. He quickly reads the defense and throws the deep ball with great velocity and accuracy as he throws his man open for a touchdown pass. He shows great athleticism on design runs as he shows good burst through the hole and accelerates to top speed quickly while outrunning all defenders for a long TD run.
