Marshall has a good strong frame at 6 feet 210 lbs. He has a strong arm and can really put zip on the football. Marshall is capable of throwing accurately when rolling out to the left or right. He likes to throw to the back shoulder fade and is capable of making the throw consistently. I like how Marshall has a good feel for when the blitz is coming in and when to scramble to avoid it. This time of pocket awareness is rare for many high school quarterbacks and is to me a big part of what is separating Marshall from many.
#1 Kalieb Osborne Kalieb Osborne 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Waterford Mott | 2024 State MI | Waterford Mott | Hudl
Osborne was productive in both the passing & receiving departments in 2021. Throwing for 1,901 yards with 20 touchdown passes. He also rushed for over 1,406 yards and had 20 rushing touchdowns. Osborne has good height at 6-4. He uses his height well to stand tall in the pocket. Osborne does a great job of stepping up in the pocket when needed. He has good arm strength and is able to throw the football accurately with touch. Osborne is so hard to tackle when he takes off and runs. He can easily make defenders miss and has shown the ability to break long runs.
# 14 Cooper Nye Cooper Nye 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Airport | 2024 State MI | Carleton Airport | Hudl
Nye throws the ball high with good touch. He is very good at hitting wide receivers in stride so they can get yards after the catch. I like that Nye keeps his eyes down the field at all times and is always looking to make a throw. Nye also does a good job placing the ball well when receivers are running seam routes. He can put it high, low, or to the side, depending on where the defender is. He is a smooth release that is quick. This is important for a quarterback to have so he can get the ball out fast to avoid throwing when getting hit.
#11 Preston Crum Preston Crum 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Utica Eisenhower | 2024 State MI | Utica Eisenhower | Hudl
Crum has good speed and quickness to run and pick up big yardage on any given play. He has a fluid throwing motion and does a good job getting the ball out of his hands quickly. Crum is a good athlete and is able to throw accurately from different arm angles. He does a good job of sliding when necessary to protect himself. I like how he really sells his fakes to make the defense really have to freeze for a second. A lot of times Crum does not overthink where to throw the ball and just delivers to the open man.
I look forward to watching all these guys play next year. These guys are only going to be juniors but play as if they were seniors. The junior season is where I believe you see guys take a big jump in developing their skill set. Quarterback plays a big role in the success of a football team. It will be interesting to see these guys part in the wins for their respective teams next year.
