The athletes listed below are very talented and tough individuals. That being said, scroll down below and check out the defensive linemen in the class of 2024.
DL, Tommy Walters, Northern Burlington
6’3 215
Mr. Walters wreaked havoc on opposing offenses. Walters has a good get-off and fires to his gap very quickly. He has solid technique and does a good job causing disruptions in the back field. Walters finished the season with 6 sacks, 9 TFL, 39 tackles, and 1 fumble recovery. He is poised for an incredible 2022 season. Walters will be a key contributor for Northern Burlington.
DL, Cooper Bunnell, Rumson Fair- Haven
6’1 245
Mr. Bunnell was a solid contributor this season. Bunnell plays with good pad level and quick at the point of attack. Bunnell has good size which makes it easier for him to work off blocks and collapse the pocket. He finished the season with 68 tackles and a forced fumble. Bunnell has tremendous upside heading into the 2022 season. Expect to hear his name a lot next season.
DE, Antwan Jackson, Carteret
6’4 200
Mr. Jackson is an athletic edge rusher with good first step quickness. He has the athleticism to bend corners to get to the quarterback. Jackson doesn’t let blockers get into the framework of his body. He plays with good leverage and active hands. He has many different techniques in his tool box to get passed blockers. Jackson seen varsity action and is just scratching the surface of his true potential. Jackson will work hard this off season to have a productive 2022 season.
DE, Brahim Wynn Jr, Timber Creek
6’4 215
Mr. Wynn is a fierce edge rusher that earned First- Team All- Conference this season. Wynn has an excellent first step and rip moves. He is a challenge for offensive tackles because he is so quick off the ball. Wynn has a good understanding of leverage and a feel for the game. He has a high motor and a sure tackler. Wynn finished the season with 4 sacks, 2 TFL and 28 tackles. Expect him to have a monster 2022 season.
