1st & 2nd Team All-StockUp Selections: Defense
In this article:
Happy to announce Prep Redzone Pennsylvania’s first-ever 1st & 2nd All-Camp teams! In this piece, we will be releasing our 1st & 2nd team selections amongst defensive players. A ton of talent was on display, making these selections very very tough. Enough players balled out to make a potential 3rd-Team.
We again would like to thank everyone who competed! This list is a combined evaluation from myself and the coaches involved, while also incorporating testing scores.
Defensive Linemen
1st – Brett Kwoka Brett Kwoka 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Neumann-Goretti | 2022 State PA
1st – Angelo McCullom
1st – Jaceb Dickerson Jaceb Dickerson 6'2" | 255 lbs | DL Gettysburg Area | 2024 State PA
1st – Nick Slogik Nick Slogik 6'5" | 230 lbs | DL Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA
2nd – Daniel Adefolarin Daniel Adefolarin 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Neumann-Goretti | 2025 State PA
2nd – Colten Danel Colten Danel 5'10" | 195 lbs | LB Forest Hills | 2023 State PA
2nd – Paul McClune Paul McClune 6'4" | 255 lbs | OL Twin Valley | 2024 State PA
2nd – Josh Angelo Josh Angelo 6'0" | 235 lbs | DL East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA
A ton of these prospects also got reps at offensive line in this camp, so take it for what it’s worth when deeming top positions. Nonetheless, very pleased to see Slogik, Dickerson, and star senior Brett Kwoka Brett Kwoka 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Neumann-Goretti | 2022 State PA put in the work that they did. Couldn’t be more impressed. Deeper dive coming on them. Wanted to spotlight the new-to-football freshman out of Cardinal O’Hara. His build is already impressive and that of a standout basketball player. 6’3, 205 at just 14 years old. I hear he’s a constant worker, whether that be in the classroom, weight room, or basketball court, I have a feeling the work ethic to become better will translate on the field. He’s going to be a name to watch for years to come.
Linebackers
1st – Samuel Hobbs Samuel Hobbs 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Neumann-Goretti | 2023 State PA
1st – Cameron Kiersch Cameron Kiersch 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Danville Area | 2025 State PA
1st – Razan Parker Razan Parker 5'11" | 210 lbs | ATH South Philadelphia | 2023 State PA
2nd – Luke Testa Luke Testa 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Malvern Prep | 2023 State PA
2nd – Wyatt Heistand
2nd – Ryan Lewiski Ryan Lewiski 5'11" | 210 lbs | LB Owen J. Roberts | 2023 State PA
Can argue that Samuel Hobbs Samuel Hobbs 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Neumann-Goretti | 2023 State PA was one of the best overall players at this event. A combination of great testing scores, smoothness in and out of indi drills, and excellent 1-on-1 reps had many of the college coaches talking, including myself. The top three linebackers all performed really well. Cameron Kiersch Cameron Kiersch 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Danville Area | 2025 State PA boosted his stock. Matching his abilities in shorts and a t-shirt with his awesome freshman tape leaves me excited for the future. Razan Parker Razan Parker 5'11" | 210 lbs | ATH South Philadelphia | 2023 State PA was also impressive. He weighed in as the heaviest “DB”. I imagined a scenario where he may be a little outmatched by some of the speed at this competition. Couldn’t be further from the case. Excellent use of leverage. Excellent feet that moved his big frame in the correct position to play the ball. The sky is the limit for this kid.
Defensive Backs
1st – Jaire Rawlison Jaire Rawlison 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA
1st – Raytel Bryant
1st – Acen Brode Acen Brode 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Milton Hershey | 2022 State PA
2nd – Ty Hudkins
2nd – Ezeekai Thomas Ezeekai Thomas 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Carlisle | 2023 State PA
2nd – Tito Spears Tito Spears 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Middletown Area | 2023 PA
Bishop McDevitt sophomore Jaire Rawlison Jaire Rawlison 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA was without a doubt the best defensive back at the event. We lacked numbers at the position, but I have a feeling that he’d come out on top even if we were loaded with DB’s. A deeper dive into his performance will come. Another Central PA sophomore put on a show as well. Raytel Bryant, who is currently unranked, showed consistency in his hips, fluid/quick feet, and good off-hand usage on 1-on-1s. I came away very impressed with his ability to stay in phase with kids much bigger than he is. Excited to continue covering him. Acen Brode Acen Brode 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Milton Hershey | 2022 State PA stepped up, primarily a wideout who had no problem switching over to DB on short notice. The Erie CC commit looked natural in his leverage use and in his backpedal. I’m sure his future coaches would be pleased to hear about his potential position versatility.
