Amarion Henry – 2023 WR – Keller, TX (Keller) – 5’11″/190:
I got the chance to see Henry in person multiple times this season so already knew coming in the big time ability he brings at the WR position but was still excited to see him perform at the event. And man, he did not disappoint. This kid is a dude man and I am shocked he hasn’t reeled in his first offer already. He has a solid build to his frame and is just an explosive all around athlete. Just check the tweets below and see the loose flexibility and route he runs in the 1st video, and then the explosive ability to get off the ground to snag a high thrown ball on the other. The other really impressive part of his game though are the elite level ball skills he brings with effortless pluck ability. Good luck covering this guy!

Dax Horany – 2023 S/ATH – Argyle, TX (Argyle) – 6’2″/190:
Before the camp got started Horany was someone I heard was going to be a player to watch at the camp. And they were correct as Horany was the most versatile prospect in attendance. Taking reps on both sides of the ball this guy made plays at WR and as a DB. Twitchy athlete with good size on his frame, ability to turn and run and speed to go with it. With his size and athletic combo he brings this is one that could really see his recruitment gain steam during the camp circuit with how well he moves and can be used in multiple ways in the Texas Ice defense. Remember his name moving forward if you didn’t know him already.
De’Tyrian McCoy – 2023 WR – Waxahachie, TX (Waxahachie) – 5’10″/170:
McCoy was one that once I got a glimpse of him take just 1 rep in 1v1s you could see the explosiveness and big speed he brings. The quickness in his releases off the line with the impressive burst and acceleration allow him to create separation with ease but then has the change of direction and loose hips to explode in and out of breaks suddenly. Despite being 5’10” he flashed the ability to go up over defenders and high point with explosive leaping ability. When you think of a nightmare matchup type out of the slot, McCoy fits that example to a T with the speed and athleticism he brings.
Jaxson Davis – 2023 WR/TE – Frisco, TX (Memorial) – 6’4″/210:
You can see in the picture of Davis above, the type of length he brings on his frame but that wasn’t the only aspect of him that stood out on the day. This dude moves more like he’s 6′ as he showed fluid movement in his routes with the ability to sink his hips into his breaks. Just look at the route he runs in the tweet below and see the ability to suddenly stick his foot in the ground and change directions without wasted movement. Really impressive for a guy his size. On top of that he showed the speed to stack DBs off the line and separate at the top of the route but also has has a wide catch radius that allows him to go up over defensive backs. Will be fun to watch on the 7v7 camp circuit this year as well as on the field his SR year.
Route running getting better everyday!! Got to trust the process🙏🏽 @TexasICE7v7 @FMHSRecruits @__WrGuru @drobalwayzopen @CoachDuffey @SkysTheLimitWR @roberson_derick pic.twitter.com/vv3Xq4GtIo

Justin Joof – 2023 CB – Dallas, TX (WT White) – 5’11″/185:
Talk about a well rounded CB in coverage man as Joof was probably the most impressive DB I saw at the event on the day. Plays with sound technique, footwork and physicality with easy hip flip ability and body control. Repeatedly watched him use his hands to feel the WR as he was in phase and show his speed (Clocked a 22.3 200m last year) to stay step for step before working that head back around to find the football. Just an all-around impressive performance. But maybe even more impressive was the big personality he has to go with it.
Steven Bush – 2023 WR – Sanger, TX (Sanger) – 5’11″/170:
Hands down, one of the most explosive prospects I saw in attendance was Bush. Sporting a thicker build on his frame especially in his lower half, the twitchy athlete showed a big time burst and top end speed to go with it. This is an athlete you can use out wide or in the backfield if you wanted that will do damage on the 7v7 circuit in the open field. Good luck matching up with him week in and week out.
Patrick Young – 2022 WR – Lewisville, TX (Hebron) – 5’11″/165:
Young is a SR still looking for an opportunity and put on a heck of a show at the tryout. Bringing impressive quicks, feet, athleticism and route running that allowed him to either run by or even go up over DBs during the 1v1 session against some of the best CBs that were in attendance. At one point the coaches made sure to highlight him in the open field, 1v1 ‘tackling’ type drill as he was a tough go and easily made the defender miss for the W which really displayed the quickness he has. He’s not the biggest WR but man there is a lot to work with that some program rather at the D2, D3 or NAIA level should really consider giving him a chance.
Titus White – 2023 WR/H-Back – Plano, TX (Plano) – 6’3″/210:
Along with Griffiths and Davis, White was the other notable standout from a frame/size stand point. White brings a solidly built frame which can allow him to box out defenders if needed but also has the explosive athleticism and length on his arms to go up over them as well. But he’s not just a big body to target in the red zone as he showed the ability to drop his ‘pad’ level in his routes along with solid speed at his size as well. His size will make it tough for CBs to cover on the outside and his agility will make it tough for LBs to cover out of the slot.
TJ Pride – 2024 WR – Midlothian, TX (Midlothian Heritage) – 5’11″/155:
Pride is absolutely smooth with it when it comes to his game. Rather in his releases off the line or in the stride he brings, just a smooth WR that flashed soft hands on the day. Even before the 1v1 portion Pride was someone that grabbed my attention during position drills with his smooth change of direction and watching him chop those arms and feet in some of the cone drills. But then went out and put on a nice showing in the 1v1 portion as well.
Tre Griffiths – 2024 WR – Keller, TX (Keller) – 6’4″/200:
Like Amarion, I had also seen Griffiths earlier this year so was well aware of the prospect that he is. Having just reeled in his first FBS offer from Texas Tech recently, Griffiths is one that grabs your attention strictly off his frame alone. But man, as they got into drills and running routes to get acclimated with the QBs is when he really opened eyes to the athlete that he is. I didn’t see as much of him as I wanted during the 1v1 portion but I already knew when I saw him walk in that he would be on the squad.
Tyson Timms Tyson Timms 6'2" | 195 lbs | TE Aledo | 2024 State TX – 2024 WR – Aledo, TX (Aledo) – 6’2″/195:
There is no doubt the winner of the ‘Route Technician’ award at the event, if one existed would have gone to Timms. My goodness, this kid was fun to watch go rep after rep with the clinic he put on during the 1v1 session. Really polished with his route tree and the training he has received from WR Trainer Margin Hooks is evident. At his size he flashed the feet, explosiveness in/out of his breaks and flexibility of a slot WR. Showed excellent body control and a big time suddenness to his game almost like he was being controlled by a string at times. This mixed with his ball skills equaled win after win on the day. This guy is going to tear up the 7v7 circuit this year and won’t be surprised to see offers come.

Other Notable Standouts (A couple that I saw some of but wish I had seen more):
J’Coi Ware – 2023 CB/S – Dallas, TX (WT White) – 5’11″/175
Ware is built almost identically to his teammate, Joof, frame wise with good length on his arms and was someone that stood out early on in drills turning and running mixed with the speed he has. On the few reps I got to see him during the 1v1 session you could see the quick twitch and explosiveness he brings at the corner position.
Ude Enyeribe – 2023 RB – Frisco, TX (Frisco Independence) –
Enyeribe is someone I had seen on film and was impressed with the big time burst he showed. Seeing him up close I saw that same burst during the 1v1 portion, on the few times I got the chance to see him and during the open field ‘tackle’ drill is where it really jumped out as he left defenders reaching while he pulling away from them.
