Without linemen everyone looks bad. That being said, scroll down and take a look at the top offensive lineman you should keep an eye on in New Jersey in the class of 23’.
OT, Nick Oliveria, Clearview
6’5 270
Mr. Oliveria is a reliable offensive tackle that earned First- Team All- State. Oliveria was a beast at left tackle. He did a great job limiting pass rushers off the edge. He has surprising athleticism and quickness for his size. Oliveria knows his assignment and blocks until the whistle.
OT, Charles Allen, Hillside
6’6 310
Mr. Allen is a massive blocker that is solid in both run and pass protection. Allen is tough and has excellent feet. He does a good job with his hand placement to gain leverage. Allen is a phenomenal run blocker, easily getting to the second level. He has tremendous upside and you should expect a huge senior season.
OT, Joe Abill, Clifton
6’1 225
Mr. Abill was a big part of Clifton’s success this season after making an appearance in the Group 5 north title game. Abill is a tough blocker and physical at the point of attack. He has good skill set and technique and rarely has holding penalties. Abill is consistent and a big part of their offensive line.
OG, Spencer Branin, Rumson Fair Haven
6’4 260
Mr. Branin has good size and quickness to play both guard and tackle. He has a high football IQ, easily recognizing stunts by the defense. Branin is solid in run support by getting to the second level to create alleys for his running back. He currently has two offers and you should expect more to start piling in. It will be interesting to see how Branin’s senior season.
