Central Ohio 2023’s to Watch – Volume 4
Central Ohio had a very good 2021 campaign in terms of talent. Heading into the off season I will detail the top players to keep an eye on.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Worthington Christian</span></strong>
#13 <strong>Ethan Albert</strong> SS (2023) - Very athletic and tough Safety for Worthington Christian. He does a great job of being around the ball every play. Comes downhill fast and makes plays off of blocks. Very good tackler with good hip drive and wrap. In the pass game does a good job of staying on top of routes and making good reads on the ball in the air. Keep a good eye on him the rest of the way.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Hilliard Darby</strong></span>
#41 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="116403" first="Ben" last="Marsh"]</strong> MLB (2023) - Ben was a force on the Darby defense. He makes plays in the run and pass game all over the field. He plays beyond his age and reminds me of a seasoned college defensive player. Very patient and technical. Reads plays well and takes on blocks with his hands inside. He sheds blocks well away from his gap and makes tough tackles in the hole. Gets over the top quickly and makes good tackles on the perimeter. When called upon is a sufficient pass dropper with good closing speed on the routes underneath.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Marysville</strong></span>
#11 <strong>Brady Seger</strong> QB (2023) - He is the commander of the offense and throws a nice tight spiral. His accuracy is on point and he is able to make many of the throws. Good athlete with twitch and wiggle in the open field. Delivers the ball with quickness and is a full field reader in a pro style offense.
