Central Ohio 2023’s to Watch – Volume 2

Central Ohio had a very good 2021 campaign in terms of talent.  Heading into the off season I will detail the top players to keep an eye on. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Westerville South</strong></span> <a class="ng-binding" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none; outline: none; border: 0px; color: #000000; font-family: ’Open Sans’, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;" title="Go to this player’s profile" href="https://stats.digitalscout.com/player/12644881/football/13473433" target="_blank" rel="noopener">#22 <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Ethan Hanna</strong></span> LB (2023) - Ethan is very athletic and a good technician.  He is patient in his movements and can run sideline to sideline when needed.  He reads plays well and maintains gap integrity.  He is very aggressive and makes nice tackles at the point of contact.  He is a good blitzer with a couple of advanced pass rush moves.  Plays with his head up and locked in.</a> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Upper Arlington</strong></span> #20<strong> Charlie Paxton </strong>S (2023) - Charlie is a very good rising junior.  He is confident out there on the field and had a great season on a very good team.  Good technique at his position with patient movements and reading of plays.  He is very skilled at coming up on the run to make plays.  He does a good job in coverage making the right read and staying on top.  Rising star in 2023. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Newark Catholic</strong></span> #55 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93332" first="Brendan" last="Sheehan"]</strong> DE (2023) - Just an outstanding two sport athlete for Newark Catholic.  He is twitchy and bends well in his pass rush.  He is quick off the ball and gets to lockout quickly.  He does a great job of reading plays and is aggressive in his shed.  He maintains gap integrity well.  He is tall and athletic with the body type to grow into a dominant player for NC.
