Out of the five state championships this week, the Class 5A battle between #1 McAlester and #2 Collinsville was the most anticipated match-up of the weekend. The two teams have been ranked #1 and #2 all season long, and both brought perfect records in the matchup. The opening half was filled with big play fireworks, while in the second half the teams grinded out long drives. In the end it was Collinsvile scoring with a couple minutes remaining and out lasting McAlester to capture their first state championship in school history.
