2023 Rankings: New Defensive Additions!

This 2023 class keeps on impressing! Here we check out some of the newest defensive members of our 2023 Rankings!   [player_tooltip player_id="234707" first="Collin" last="Dunn"]- LB |6’1 177| |Hillcrest| [player_tooltip player_id="234707" first="Collin" last="Dunn"] was a monster for the Hillcrest defense this season, totaling up 75 tackles (9 TFLs), 3.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 pass breakups. As the stats show, Dunn is an incredibly versatile linebacker, effective against both the run and pass game. Dunn’s lateral quickness, vision, size, and strength have allowed him to terrorize opposing offenses in every way possible. Dunn has currently listed offers from Maryland, Toledo, Kansas State, and more.   [player_tooltip player_id="240444" first="Jamerqui" last="Lewis"]- ATH |5’10 150| |Handley| [player_tooltip player_id="240444" first="Jamerqui" last="Lewis"] is a dynamic playmaker for Handley that lined up at both defensive back and wide receiver this season. Although he has been productive at receiver, Lewis has seemed to have found his home on the defensive side of the ball. Lewis excels in man coverage, tackles well, and has great usage of his hands to pick off or break up passes. Although not currently listing any offers, expect to see some collegiate attention arrive his way soon.   [player_tooltip player_id="241155" first="Tre’mon" last="Henry"]- DE |6’2 225| |Eufala| [player_tooltip player_id="241155" first="Tre’mon" last="Henry"] was a monster for Eufala this season, continually finding himself in the opposing backfield generating sacks and tackles for loss. Henry has great size, length, and a terrific motor that allows him to cause havoc all throughout the game. Overall, Henry is just a very productive defensive end that has proven to be great both against the run and pass. Currently, he lists offers from both Arizona State and Arkansas.   [player_tooltip player_id="241149" first="Emmanuel" last="Waller"]- DE |6’4 240| |Chelsea| [player_tooltip player_id="241149" first="Emmanuel" last="Waller"] is another 2023 defensive end that turned some heads this season. Waller is massive, and with that, has great positional speed that makes it incredibly tough to block him. While very good against the pass, Waller is terrific when playing against the run, consistently closing gaps and generating tackles for loss. Currently, Waller lists offers from both Mississippi State and UAB.   [player_tooltip player_id="99839" first="Deuce" last="Cooper"]- DB |5’11 170| |American Christian| [player_tooltip player_id="99839" first="Deuce" last="Cooper"] is an incredibly underrated man-to-man corner in this 2023 class. Cooper has great technique in coverage, rarely allowing any passes to be completed or to even be attempted most times. Cooper has great processing skills as well, allowing him to quickly react to the offense to make plays on the ball. Although not listing any offers currently, expect to see that change soon as Cooper prepares for his senior season.
