DeWitt vs St. Joseph
DeWitt comes into this matchup having won 10 straight, with their closest matchup being by 23 points. It then goes without any more saying that DeWitt is the heavy favorite here, especially with their elite senior class, while St. Joseph has standout sophomores at QB and RB. St. Joseph is competing in this game for a reason though, and they just earned a statement 35-point win over Parma Western. Both teams do have one common opponent, Lakeshore, where DeWitt came out on top 50-14, while St. Joseph lost a contest 35-28 then won their playoff matchup 17-14. If this is any indication, St. Joseph needs to play an absolute stellar game in order to win but is possible as we’ve seen some crazy upsets in years past.

Mason vs Detroit Martin Luther King
Mason pulled off a major upset this past Friday as they defeated Brother Rice 20-17. It was shocking, to say the least, a school such as Brother Rice with many big names having gone down to Mason, but the Bulldogs are here and they’re going to be as ready as they can be against King. As for King, this matchup reminds me a lot of their 2019 semifinal matchup against Seaholm. That year, Seaholm had a great, but not extraordinary regular season but then they made an unlikely semifinal run that was quickly halted as King demolished them 60-17.
