Oakridge Standouts
(MVP) The entire offensive line – The offensive line carried this offense all night, and they simply could not be stopped. Honestly, I can’t think of one major standout from this group as every single one of them was solid. The pulls, pass blocks, zone blocks, power runs, whatever the offense called, the Oakridge offensive line rose to the occasion.
RB Corey Vanderputte – Running behind that big offensive line was Corey Vanderputte. He made huge plays in both the run and pass game, totaling well over 150 yards and 3TD’s on the day, which is a very conservative estimate. The video below showcases exactly what I’m talking about when it comes to the O-line and running game
Oakridge is really running away with this one as they lead Tri-County 38-6 at the end of the 1st half.
This game is being decided by dominant Offensive and Defensive line play from Oakridge, plus some incredible plays from @CoreyVanderput1 pic.twitter.com/rcYV0CKKHW

Tri-County Standouts
QB Tyler Tompkins – It was a mostly rough evening for Tomkins, but he impressed me by his pocket presence and deep-ball accuracy. When your line isn’t playing well, most high school quarterbacks will rush, get emotional, and play poorly. This was not the case for Tompkins as he kept his game-face on and balled out the best he could tossing a few touchdowns.
WR Stuart Gould – A speedy slot-type, Gould showed out the best he could. It was obvious that Gould was the #1 option, and he consistently got separation on nearly every snap. The route running and speed in space were very impressive, and he could have taken over this game if a few other offensive aspects went well.
P Nate Lovell – There is a good reason why I’m highlighting a punter who mainly plays linebacker. Mainly, Lovell is a very smart punter who gets kicks off very quickly and showed the ability to get out of a botched fake punt. If anything, the special teams were good for Tri-County.
