Oakridge Standouts
(MVP) EDGE Trever Jones – This guy was the best defensive player on the field tonight and he’s only a sophomore. He had a staggering 4 first-half sacks and he was beating blocks all night long. His quickness and football IQ are the things that really stood out to me, and he overall played a very physical style of football leading that great D-Line.
MLB Noah MacFadyen – If any run got past the line of scrimmage, MacFadyen was right there to clean it up. Acting both as a vital role in the run and pass defense, MacFadyen did a great job making sure that nobody got past him all night.
DT Ethan Joza – Posting 2 of his own first-half sacks, Joza was a big body that couldn’t be moved. Joza made easy work of blocks and made many tackles for loss, one being a great blindside sack.
Tri-County Standouts
MLB Nate Lovell – This was the best player on the field for Tri-County when it came to defense and special teams. Lovell looked like he was putting in maximum effort to stop the run, and he did whenever the run was up the middle. Lovell demonstrated quicker than average reaction time plus good tackling. The run game was only extremely successful when running to the outside, away from Lovell. I’m proud of his final performance on the high school field.
