Standout Performances
Brother Rice RB Nolan Ray Nolan Ray 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Brother Rice | 2023 State MI
Ray ran all over the St. Mary’s defense for a whopping 208 yards and 3 touchdowns. When watching his tape it’s hard not to be impressed by his patience and obvious trust in his teammates. Oftentimes he’d get the handoff and wait until his blocks develop, then use his unique field vision to follow his blocks for big gains. Ray also has proved to be a viable option in the passing game. Very excited to see what he can do for the rest of this season and how he develops heading into his senior season.
De La Salle RB Rhett Roeser Rhett Roeser 6'0" | 220 lbs | RB De La Salle | 2024 State MI
As a sophomore, Roeser is already a cornerstone on this elite De La Salle team. On Friday against Groose Pointe South, he tore it up rushing for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. He has a great build for a running back at 6’0, 210lbs and I’m incredibly excited to follow this player through the offseason.
Detroit Catholic Central DT Michael Beydoun
The big 275-pound defensive tackle had quite the game in the loss to West Bloomfield. He’s always been great at stopping the run, but on Friday he did much more. Beydoun scooped up a fumble and returned it for 15-yards, and had a dream come true big man interception. Beydoun tipped a pass and caught it, causing a huge game-changing turnover.
Love giving props to the Big Men making plays. After recovering a fumble earlier in the half, Detroit Catholic Central SR DT Michael Beydoun here with the tip and pick in the 2nd quarter vs West Bloomfield. @DCCfootball @MichaelBeydoun #StateChamps X @LTUAthletics pic.twitter.com/1ZMVyRFDJo

South Lyon QB Braden Fracassi
Braden Fracassi is proving the haters wrong as South Lyon easily advances to the regional finals. Connecting on 83.6% of his passes for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns, Fracassi showcased great talent. He demonstrated the ability to deliver accurate balls under pressure, often scrambling outside of the pocket to find a receiver on the run. He also had good deep ball accuracy, and he was ultimately very poised and patient when making throws. I’m very excited to see this South Lyon team play in the Regional Finals and maybe beyond.
