Zak Ahern Zak Ahern 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Rockford | 2022 State MI – Rockford – QB – 6’2″ 205 lbs
The future Ferris State Bulldog put on a clinic on Friday and he’s just getting started in his desired playoff push. He lit up Grandville on Friday like it was personal. He was on fire and standing in the pocket delivering the ball with a purpose. Ahern busted an 80-yard TD run early in the game and that set the tone. He had just under 400 scrimmage yards on Friday. 138-yards and 2 of those TDs came through the air. He then added over 200-yards and 3 TDs on the ground as they blew out Grandville 38-7.
John Passinault – Grand Rapids Catholic Central – QB – 6’0″ 175 lbs
Passinault had his best game of the year on Friday and there wasn’t really much the defense could do about it. Sometimes when a player catches fire you just have to get out of the way and that was Passinault this past week. He made a handful of throws that made everyone’s jaw drop. He threw for just under 300-yards while tossing 5 TDs on the night as they got the easy win.
Dahmir Farnum – Mona Shores – RB – 5’9″ 190 lbs
Mona Shores offense struggled early on until Farnum was able to jumpstart it. He was able to break a nice TD run to get them on the board. He’s a confident runner who embraces the contact. He will square his shoulders and come at you like it’s personal. He’s not going to break many long runs but he’s going to make every yard count. He rushed for over 100-yards and a TD on the night as Mona Shores fell short.
Cameron Chandler – Unity Christian – QB – 6’3″ 180 lbs
Sometimes things are meant to go your way and that was the case on Friday for Unity Christian. For example, UC had a busted offensive play where Chandler turned the wrong way. He then took the ball, somehow found an angle, got the corner, and raced down the field for a TD. He put up over 300 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs on the night as UC remains undefeated as they hung 79 points on Friday.
Micah Bush – Unity Christian – RB – 5’8″ 183 lbs
Bush was the second man in the attack for UC on Friday and he came through with a big night as well. If it wasn’t Chandler ending up in the endzone it was Micah Bush early in the game. Bush was running through defenders and squaring his shoulders at the point of attack. He was great on Friday and got better as the game went on too. He had well over 150-yards and 2 TDs on the night. Right now, they have to be the favorite in their division with the way they are playing.
