Our most recent stop took us to Belle Plaine, MN and the home of Emma Krumbee’s Restaurant & Bakery. After a quick bite at Krumbee’s (a must stop on the recruiting trail for all the college coaches), we made it over to the field to take in a Tigers' practice. A couple players stood out immediately.
[player_tooltip player_id="19003" first="Ryan" last="Retzer"], OL, 6’3 260 (2023)
Ryan is an aggressive and punishing OL prospect (MN Top 10 Prep Redzone '23). He has a quick and accurate punch, but more impressive is his ability to two hand strike defenders to the ground. Ryan extends while his feet are moving, helping him both in pass protection and defeating blocks. He is decisive when he pulls, fits thick and can redirect on contact. His most recent recruiting trips include Kansas, SDSU, USD, UND and Montana.
Next Level: Love to see this type of big skill athlete snap the ball - could be a dominant center!

Unique - watch this film!! Length, burst, deceleration and a great smile (except for his football headshots). Offensively, he can put a foot in the ground, has rhythm in route and will win a jump ball. Our favorite part about practice was watching him play corner. His feet trigger the off arm punch in press man, he stays in phase and if a ball comes his way? Cue offensive film! Karim has an interest in paralegal studies and has been in contact with Bemidji St, Jamestown and Augsburg.
Next Level: It’s easy to slot him at WR, but this type of ability and body at corner is rare!

Gavin Fahey, OL/DL, 6’4 235 (2022)
He has a beautiful frame, big hands and plenty of room to grow. From watching at practice, updated senior film will show better feet, the ability to reach block and a really heavy face on contact. Gavin is effort-based and there just aren’t enough of these bodies out there for all the football schools in search. He has been in contact with Valley St. and Minot St.
Next Level: Maintaining contact and redirecting after the strike.

This kid is a rattler. Anything near him that’s a potential catch ends up on the ground. Wyatt understands defensive fits and leverage, has patience in coverage and will finish when given the opportunity. He saw extensive playing time as both a sophomore and junior. In addition, it’s always nice having a point guard lead the back end of your defense.
Next Level: Just a bit more snap!
