Players to Watch in Saline vs Temperance Bedford

The Saline Hornets head into this game 6-0 on the season. The Temperance Bedford Kicking Mules are 5-1 on the season, with their only loss coming to a very good Ann Arbor Huron team that only has one loss. The Hornets and Mules are both in the Southeastern Conference- Red division. This is just one of the key games that could decide who wins the conference. Both teams have players that have been difference-makers so far this season. <strong>#7 Brendan Hammer</strong> | QB | Temperance Bedford Hammer will lead the Bedford Kicking Mules at quarterback Friday night against the Saline Hornets. Hammer certainly will be a key factor in whether or not Bedford comes out victorious in the game. Brendan Hammer got off to a great start in the week one win over Utica Ford. Hammer had a rushing touchdown and also returned an interception for a touchdown. Hammer vs the Saline Defense will be a great matchup and I am definitely looking forward to it. <strong>#12</strong> <strong>Caleb Kochendoerfer </strong>| QB/SS | Temperance Bedford Kochendoerfer had a great game in the opener against Utica Ford as well. In the game, Kochendoerfer ran the ball 6 times for 47 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Kochendoerfer also makes plays defensively. Kochendoerfer had an interception in the win over Monroe. With Bedford being a team that relies on the ground game primarily, look to see if Kochendoerfer gets snaps at quarterback. Bedford would also love Kochendoerfer or Hammer to create a turnover in this game as well. <strong>#22</strong> <strong>Randy Boisselle </strong>| RB/DB | Temperance Bedford | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2G1iF1">Hudl</a> Randy Boisselle runs the football with a purpose. That purpose is to run you over if you get in his way. Boisselle does a great job getting to the outside quickly on pitch plays. He is good at keeping his shoulder square so he can easily lower his shoulder and use his power to break tackles. Boisselle has a strong upper body and can dish out a powerful stiff arm. Look for Bedford to give Boisselle carries later in the game vs Saline to try to wear out their defense. <strong>#13 CJ Carr </strong>| QB | Saline | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2FsN9M">Hudl</a> CJ Carr has been terrific for the Hornets so far this season. He is so good at making throws on the run. Carr has the ability to throw the ball accurately downfield. The Bedford defensive front will need to create some pressure on Carr for them to slow down Saline’s offense. <strong>#5 [player_tooltip player_id="99332" first="Gavin" last="Mesman"] </strong>| TE | Saline | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2FsSh8">Hudl</a> At 6-6, Mesman is a matchup nightmare for nearly every opposing player. Mesman catches the football well and does a good job of securing the football with his hands first instead of letting the ball come into his chest. Mesman is a good run blocker and pass blocker. His ability to both catch and block will be key for Carr to have time to throw and will also allow running backs to produce long runs.
