Happy October.
We are six weeks into the high school football season here in South Florida. The second half of play should be very exciting as we push towards the playoffs.
What prospects have done their job so far? *Please* send me any stats or information through my contacts below if you have a player I should highlight.
Here is my rundown...
[player_tooltip player_id="50184" first="Camden" last="Brown"] - St. Thomas Aquinas
2022 [player_tooltip player_id="50184" first="Camden" last="Brown"] has been making house calls all season. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound wide receiver has 13 receptions for 260 yards and three touchdowns per MaxPreps. Brown’s explosive plays have been back breakers for opponents. I honestly feel every time quarterback Zion Nelson throws his way its going for six. Brown’s size and athleticism is a nightmare to defend. He is committed to Pittsburgh.
Jamaal Joseph - Barbara Goleman
2022 Jamaal Joseph is a solid running back for the Gators. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Joseph had 18 carries for 114 yards and four touchdowns in a win over American on September 17th. Earlier against Carol City, he ran for 123 yards and a score. Joseph can beat you with power or speed. He’s a track athlete so its no surprise he can break out for long runs.
[player_tooltip player_id="128308" first="Taron" last="Dickens"] - Miami Northwestern
2023 [player_tooltip player_id="128308" first="Taron" last="Dickens"] has been great for the Bulls. The 6-foot, 175-pound signal caller has completed 69 percent of his passes for 1237 yards and 14 touchdowns to two interceptions. 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="128030" first="Andy" last="Jean"] has been on the receiving end for many of his throws. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Jean has 21 catches for 348 yards and five touchdowns. Dickens is a big reason why Miami Northwestern is 4-1. The Bulls only loss came to IMG Academy. Dickens holds an offer from Coastal Carolina.
Deandre Desinor - North Broward Prep
2025 DeAndre Desinor has looked anything but a freshman for the Eagles. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound running back has 39 carries for 274 yards and four touchdowns. Moreover, Desinor is averaging seven yards per rush with two 100+ yard efforts. Desinor also has a receiving score. This kid is going to be special for years to come. Head Coach Rex Nottage mentioned him to me during summer workouts. ( I can see why)
Davion Gause - Chaminade-Madonna
2024 Davion Gause has been electric for Chaminade-Madonna. His 63-yard touchdown against Buford (GA) proved to be the only score of the night as the Lions took out the Wolves on the road. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound back has rushed for 629 yards and six touchdowns (157.3 ypg). He holds offers from numerous D-1 programs.
