We’re highlighting some of the best defensive standouts from this past Friday in the Dayton Area.
Kavonte Turpin - Northridge - CB - 5'8" 155 lbs
Northridge struggled quite a bit on Friday but Turpin was a bright spot. He was able to make a huge play and force a turnover. The ball was wobbling in the ball carrier's hand and Turpin knocked it loose and then was able to jump on it for the recovery. He also had 10+ tackles and almost had a huge interception but it was just over the tips of his hands.

Brown was all over the field on Friday for Milton-Union. He's one of their signal-callers on the defense and is getting better each week. He was able to make a few impact plays and changed the game for Milton-Union. He picked a ball off by jumping up and reaching up for it and racing down 30-yards.
Gabe Thompson - Versailles - OLB - 5'6" 160 lbs
When it rains it pours and Thompson helped pour it on Friday. They had just scored a touchdown and kicked the ball off. A big hit was made and the ball was loose. Thompson was able to pick the ball up and make some magic happen with the loose ball. He didn't score but set the offense up in the redzone where they scored on that drive.
Leslie Orr - Eaton - WR/LB - 6'2" 165 lbs
Orr was able to make his impact on Special Teams and he did not disappoint. Valley View was going for a FG to tie it up and Orr blocked the kick.
