Donald Thompson – 2022 DT/DE – Crowley, TX(Crowley) – 6’2″/260:
Thompson was fun to watch on the night as a lot of what I had seen from him on film showed up in person as well. Plays with really impressive hand usage as he was never not utilizing them. Rather it was stabbing before violently disengaging or contorting blockers bodies with the strength he has knocking them off balance and often to the ground. His hands are weapons and he knows how to use them. Showed he can stand up to double teams as I saw him hold his ground on multiple occasions even when dealing with bigger offensive lineman. Flashed the ability to reset the line of scrimmage with the power he brings to drive lineman into the backfield. Showed an explosive get off allowing him to knife into the backfield through out the night but it was also his motor that really stood out as he was seen chasing the ball all over the field flashing good sideline to sideline speed. Loved the effort he displayed all night long as he had to have finished with double digit tackles, numerous QB pressures and a fumble recovery.
At his size he is a tweener but has decent length on his arms and plenty of room to add weight to his frame. I see him kicking inside at the next level as a 3-tech but has the versatility to line up at multiple techniques due to his explosiveness, hand usage, strength & power at the POA. He doesn’t currently hold any offers which is surprising as he has FBS ability but know his size is most likely the cause for hesitancy due to not knowing exactly where to use him. But from what I saw, FCS and D2 programs should be all over him and could even see a Group of 5 school come in last minute.
When I say violent hands, watch @Donaldthagreat3 just toss the RT aside here (DE furthest from me). https://t.co/uaOf6OUZ85 pic.twitter.com/wYuB3XTTIR

Look at the quickness off the ball and then the effort to get down field and make the tackle here by 2022 @CTownEaglesFB DT @Donaldthagreat3 (Right DE here). pic.twitter.com/e5tGbRXWXE

Here you see the quicks off the ball again and the change of direction out of 2022 @CTownEaglesFB DT/DE @Donaldthagreat3 as he gets a TO jumping on the fumble. (44 – DE closest to camera) pic.twitter.com/RwDIq2qtMb

Daunte Blake – 2022 RB – Crowley, TX(Crowley) – 5’9″/195:
Blake is a physical back who broke off numerous chunk runs as he was the work horse that Crowley rode all night long. I’m not sure of his final stats but he was well over 100-yards on the night. At his size he brings a low center of gravity which makes it tough to get a solid shot on him and when you mix that with his balance through contact, he is a back that rarely went down due to 1-tackler. This guy ran hard and flashed a 1-cut get downhill mindset with an impressive burst and top end speed with the ability to disappear between the tackles allowing him to get to the second and third levels in a hurry. On top of what he did with the ball in his hands, it was also what he displayed as a lead blocker in the run game that was also really impressive. Rather it was driving his assignment 20 yards down field or throwing LBs to the ground, just seems like he takes pride and enjoys the physical side as a blocker.
At this point I have no idea how he doesn’t have an offer because this young man is a guy that can help an offense out in multiple facets, including as a pass catcher out of the backfield. If you are looking for a well rounded back in the 2022 class, this is a young man you should give a look at.
@CTownEaglesFB go up 7-0 here in the 1st after a nice drive that was sparked by this run by 2022 RB @d1_daunte as he bounced off 2 would be tacklers and broke down the SL for a big gain. Like how he finished this run as well. pic.twitter.com/j7c8aB5xvM

Really nice run here by 2022 @CTownEaglesFB RB @d1_daunte. Shows a stiff arm at the end as well. Like what I’ve seen from him tonight as well as on film. 5’9”/195 or so. pic.twitter.com/o7B1VrnDnZ

Dekoryian West-Davis – 2024 WR – Crowley, TX(Crowley) – 5’11/165:
Despite not getting a ton of targets on the night and a QB change, when he did touch the ball West-Davis made those plays count as he finished with around 100-yards or so on the night on 4-receptions and a TD. One of the first things I noticed was the impressive acceleration and speed off the line of scrimmage flashing the ability to get easy separation. On top of that he brings strong ball skills with the ability to track and pluck at its highest point. He’s not the biggest wide receiver but showed the ability to break tackles and create yards after the catch. I never got to see him really open it up but you can see he has speed to burn. If Crowley can find a QB for this offense next year, West-Davis could have a big next couple of years in their offense. He is definitely one to watch moving forward.
Here is the TD I mentioned by 2024 @CTownEaglesFB WR @DekoryianD last night. See the acceleration off the line and ability to go up and pluck. https://t.co/1P5T4qAi1i pic.twitter.com/n2lywXf47F

Ashton Searl – 2024 RB – Crowley, TX (Crowley) – 5’11″/180 (or so):
Blake was the workhorse on the night but Searl also played a big part with multiple touchdown runs. Brings solid size on his frame already at his age and displayed solid speed, vision and feet for being as young as he is. On one of his touchdown runs from 13-yards out, his vision, feet and lateral movement really showed as he avoided the trash, continued to flow to his right behind his offensive line after the initial hole wasn’t there before having the speed to get the corner and finding pay dirt. And like Blake, he also showed a physical style as a blocker on the night as well. Speaking to his position coach after the game, you could tell he was pretty excited from what he saw out of his youngster on the night. Another 2024 name to know in this offense moving forward.
