Boswell has a 2023 CB that I had been impressed with in his sophomore film so wanted to see him up close along with any other prospects that may stand out during the game. As you will see below, quite a few ended up standing out on the night.
Nick Hawthorne – 2023 CB – Fort Worth, TX (Boswell) – 6’1″/170:
Talk about length as Hawthorne has plenty of it on his frame to go with the long limbs he has as well. Liked the attitude, confidence and swagger he displayed throughout the night as you could see him talking with WRs or shaking his head when he locked them up. Showed he can be physical at the line of scrimmage in press coverage as he showed the ability to out physical a WR on one play not allowing him to get into his route. Also saw him handle gunners on an island by himself in the punt return game as well. Chisolm Trail didn’t test him hardly at all during the game but the result of the few attempts they did played into why that was. The first attempt, on a 3rd down early in the game, he ran the route for the WR and dang near got his hands on the ball that sailed out of bounds and incomplete. The 2nd attempt resulted in an interception as you see in the 2nd tweet below with a great hands catch. And the 3rd attempt, while thrown behind the WR a bit, he disrupted the ball with the drive he has which again, resulted in an incompletion. He wasn’t ran at all that much in the run game so didn’t get to see how physical he is as a tackler but everything else he displayed matched what I had seen on his sophomore film. No offers yet but he let me know after the game he is getting interest from a few Power 5 programs.
First thing you see with 2023 Fort Worth, TX (@BosFootball) CB @NickHawthorne18 is the length he brings on his frame. pic.twitter.com/0sQSqvzlUC

Chisolm Trail has thrown at 2023 @BosFootball CB @NickHawthorne18 twice so far. 1st one he ran the route for the WR & fell incomplete. 2nd time – INT! Heck of a hands catch as well. See him locate his rec as the QB gets outside the pocket then gets his 👀 back to find 🏈 pic.twitter.com/Hqja0FZmAD

Chris Lister – 2022 OT/OG – Fort Worth, TX (Boswell) – 6’4″/280:
A few snaps into the game Lister had already started to stand out with the build he has but also the length on his arms. Showed some body quickness and quick feet to get in position off the snap on seal blocks and the ability to explode out of his stance quickly in the run game. Really excelled in pulling situations working to the second level. Like the athleticism and how light on his feet he was while on the move showing he can change directions, snap his hips on contact and really used his mitts and leg drive to move defenders down field as the offense ran behind him all night. Once he brings his hips through he showed he can generate movement off the LOS. Flashed some pop in his hands but also saw him snatch a rusher to the ground with ease. He flashes a nastiness at times but would like to see it more consistently. Did see some issues with pad level especially in his kickslide and sometimes allowed defenders to be first getting their hands into his chest. See him kicking inside at the next level based off what I saw him do well this game. With the ability he flashed, won’t be surprised to see FCS or at least DII level offers come before NSD.
Look at the quick feet, hips, heavy punch w/that inside hand and physicality here by 2022 @BosFootball OT/OG @ChrisLister62. Listed at 6’4”/280. pic.twitter.com/D3gIVZ6K20

Here is another clip of 2022 @BosFootball OT/OG @ChrisLister62 knocking the edge backer to the ground w/1-hand punch. WR on a jets sweep, who shows nice contact balance runs behind him for 6. @GageEllis15 w/ the block down field to spring him. pic.twitter.com/4i4xIdZH3s

Alright last one if @BosFootball 2022 OT/OG @ChrisLister62 but here you see him pulling (LT). See the hip snap on contact & the physicality he brings picking up the looping DT driving him dang near into the EZ as 2023 RB @EzraCarter11 runs right behind him for 6. pic.twitter.com/HoUJZzi7zH

Gage Ellis – 2023 WR – Fort Worth, TX (Boswell) – 5’9″/155:
Man, this guy was really fun to watch this night. He just fits that slot WR role so well with his size, route running, short area quickness he displays and make you miss ability. Saw him multiple times make people miss with ease. Just so sudden with the ball in his hands that Chisolm Trail had a hard time tackling him in the open field. It was a big night for the Junior who also flashed good speed and showed he will go up and attack the ball on the touchdown reception you see in the 2nd tweet below. He finished the night with 8-receptions for 134-yards and 2-touchdowns. With what we see every Saturday in college football of the smaller quicker receivers making it a nightmare on linebackers and safeties to defend out of the slot, on jet sweeps, etc… Ellis seems to fit right into that mold. Definitely one to watch moving forward.
2023 @BosFootball WR @GageEllis15 has been impressive. Slot to the right see him sit in a window but then watch him make the first man miss. pic.twitter.com/fL1xPGZumi

Really nice play here for 6 by 2024 @BosFootball QB @FarrSawyer and 2023 WR @GageEllis15. Farr rolling to his left flips his hips and feet to get his base under him and throws a great ball. Ellis shows his ability to adjust and go up and pluck! pic.twitter.com/ntfb4Zrz6o

Sawyer Farr – 2024 QB – Fort Worth, TX (Boswell) – 6’3″/175:
The night started off a bit slowly for Farr but as the game wore on he really started to show what he was capable of as a signal caller and got into a nice groove as he finished the night 18-26 for 259-yards and 3-Touchdowns along with 2-carries for 24-yards. He brings a 3/4 type delivery with a pretty quick release as the ball doesn’t drop below his elbow in his delivery helping to get it out of his hand in a hurry. Showed he could make touch throws on the night with a few of them being big time throws. Displayed a solid arm on the night but didn’t really get to see him uncork one to really see the arm strength he truly has. Like the athleticism he showed to be able to extend or create with his legs and showed the speed to move the sticks multiple times as well. Kid is a good athlete that also stars as a short stop on the grid iron. What stood out to me the most on the night was the drive he lead his team on just before halftime to put them up 28-6 which I spoke to in the tweet below. With him just being a sophomore it showed the command he has of the offense and the maturity he already brings to the position at such a young age. Was really a flawless 2:00 type drive before leading his squad to a 63-9 victory. Looking forward to seeing how he develops over the next two years physically and at the position.
2024 @BosFootball QB @FarrSawyer lead a heck of a drive to put his team up 28-6. Showed nice pocket awareness/mvmnt to avoid pressure & ran for a 1st. Then threw a dime rolling to his right on a corner route (I think).Capped it rolling to his right & finds a WO @GageEllis15 for 6 pic.twitter.com/jFqGnindHw

Ezra Carter – 2023 RB – Fort Worth, TX (Boswell) – 5’10″/200:
Carter had a massive night finishing with 31-carries for 264-yards and 4-touchdowns on the night. All night long he displayed a patient, physical style that allowed him to rip off chunk yardage runs. The patience he displayed was really impressive allowing his blocks to get set up before he displayed the burst and acceleration that he brings to get to the 2nd and 3rd level in a hurry. His height allowed him to at times disappear behind the LOS as well and before the defenders knew it he was in the secondary. Saw him repeatedly just bounce off or fight through tackles with the contact balance he has and extend runs but it taking multiple defenders to get him to the ground. Also displayed some nice ankle flexion to make a defender miss in the backfield as well on one play. On the season Carter is averaging almost 6-yards a carry and looks to be headed towards 1,000 yard season.
2023 @BosFootball RB @EzraCarter11 is another name to know. Listed at 5’10”/200 & runs behind his pads man. Physical, down hill runner has just been bouncing off people & showing a nice burst thru the hole all night like here for 6. @ChrisLister62 clearing the way…Again! pic.twitter.com/u4OV2APFAD

Darion Reed – 2023 OT – Fort Worth, TX (Chisolm Trail) – 6’6″/310:
Found out after the game that this is Reed’s first season playing high school football. As you see in the picture below, he wasn’t hard to find on the field with the frame and long arms he has. Showed nimble feet and natural athleticism in pass pro. For being as raw as he is, liked the hand usage he flashed at times fighting off much smaller rushers off the edge. With how green he is to the position and high school football itself not going to critique him too much at this time but he is one to keep tabs on moving forward too see how he develops throughout the rest of this season and into his SR year.
2023 Chisolm Trail OT Darion Reed I just mentioned here #77. Listed at 6’6”/310 and Carrie’s it well. pic.twitter.com/FCoXFkjoWd

Chisolm Trail has a 2023 6’6”/310 OT to know as well in Darion Reed (@dreedfour). Knee bender with good hips. Been watching him fight the hands off all night as well. Right tackle here. pic.twitter.com/bD0TrzAHRi
