Throughout the 2021 season, there has been some great football in the state of Ohio especially in Division 2. In week 6, there are several great games to watch featuring teams from a Division 2 school. Here are five of those games.
Benedictine vs Boardman
On Friday night, the Benedictine Bengals will play the Boardman Spartans. The Bengals are currently undefeated at 4-0 and last week defeated Bishop Hartley 38-17. This season, they have averaged 34.75 points per game on offense and have given up 18 points per game on defense. The Spartans are 4-1 and last week defeated Youngstown East 62-14. This season, the Spartans have averaged 30.6 points per game on offense and have given up 14.8 points per game on defense. Willoughby South vs Brush
On Friday night, the Willoughby South Rebels will play the Brush Arcs in a game that features two teams that are dominant on both sides of the ball. The Rebels are currently undefeated at 5-0 and last week defeated Eastlake North 38-7. This season, they have averaged 38.6 points per game and have given up an impressive 8.4 points per game. The Arcs are also playing very well as they are currently 4-1 and last week they defeated Akron North 37-0. This season, they have averaged 29.8 points per game on offense while giving up 12.8 points per game on defense. Toledo Central Catholic vs Lima Senior
In week 6, the Fighting Irish of Toledo Central Catholic will play the Spartans from Lima Senior. The Fighting Irish are 3-2 and last week defeated St. John’s Jesuit 38-0 for their 3rd win in a row. This season, the Fighting Irish have averaged 27.6 points per game on offense and 12.6 points per game on defense. The Spartans are 3-1 and last week defeated Clay 28-13. This season, the Spartans have averaged 25.25 points per game on offense and have given up 16.25 points per game on defense. Massillon Washington vs Austintown-Fitch
On Friday night, the Massillon Washington Tigers will play the Austintown-Fitch Falcons. The Tigers are currently 3-2 and last week lost to St. Edward 35-18. This season, the Tigers have averaged 29.8 points per game on offense and have given up 25.8 points per game on defense. The Falcons are currently 3-1 and last week defeated Cardinal Mooney 42-7. This season, they have averaged 39.5 points per game on offense and have given up 20.75 points per game on defense. Highland vs Roosevelt
This week, the Highland Hornets will play the Roosevelt Rough Riders. The Hornets are currently 4-1 and last week lost to Barberton 28-21. This season, they have averaged 32 points per game on offense and have given up 18.6 points per game on defense. The Rough Riders are 1-4 and last week lost to Copley 30-12. They have averaged 8.4 points per game on offense (13.5 ppg in last 2 games) and have given up 25.4 points per game on defense. Some talented players to watch in this game are QB Aaron Filips and WR/DB John Lima from Highland and WR/DB Javion Bobbitt and RB Quentin Upshaw from Roosevelt.
