RB, CJ Hester CJ Hester 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Cincinnati Wyoming | 2023 State OH , 5’11, 185, Wyoming
The Junior RB played awesome in week 6. He rushed for 182 yards on 18 carries and scored 3 TD while catching 2 passes for 34 yards and another score as Wyoming defeated Deer Park 48-21 to remain undefeated at 6-0. In just 6 games, he already has 1207 rushing yards and had at least 140 yards in every game with 4 200+ yard games. He shows excellent vision as he quickly finds the open hole and shows great burst through the hole as he quickly accelerates to top speed. While in the secondary, he shows great heart and competitive toughness as he runs behind his pads and lowers his shoulder to drive through a DB while picking up a few extra yards.
QB/RB, William Ingle, 5’10, 205, Sycamore
The Senior QB/RB had an awesome game last week against Lakota East. Even though Sycamore was defeated 34-27, Ingle provided the points needed to keep the game close. He rushed for 163 yards on 28 carries (5.82 ypc) and scored 3 TD and threw a TD pass as well. As a passer, he displays good quickness when rolling out, and delivers an accurate strike while on the move. He has outstanding mobility as he uses his very good play speed and athletic ability to elude LB and DB in the secondary while he picks up a big gain. He displays rare play strength and contact balance as he is able to shrug off tackles from much larger DL with ease.
WR, Terrell McFarlin, 6’0, 190, St. Xavier
The Senior WR had a great game last week as he caught 5 passes for 100 yards (20 ypc) and scored 2 touchdowns as St. Xavier defeated Elder 52-14 to improve to 6-0. So far this season, he has caught 25 passes for 499 yards and scored 8 touchdowns. He plays on the outside as an X and Z. He shows good quickness off the LOS while using his very good play speed and hip fluidity to separate at the top of his route. He does a great job of selling the post route before breaking to the outside on a post-corner route. He shows great hands as he is able to make the catch on passes that are thrown off target. After the catch is made, he uses his good play strength to drag the CB for a few extra yards.
RB, Keenan Alcalde, 6’2, 215, Turpin
The Senior RB was a scoring machine last week. He scored 4 TD while rushing for 104 yards as Turpin defeated Walnut Hills 34-13. This season, he has rushed for 929 yards and scored 16 TD. He uses his very good quickness to get to the outside and turn the corner. While he is in the secondary, he is elusive enough to avoid DB but also possesses the power, contact balance and play strength needed to break tackles from LB. He is very productive in the redzone and on the goal line as he is a threat to score a TD every time he has the ball in his hands due to his excellent combination of speed and power.
LB, Kent Guyer, 6’0, 183, Roger Bacon
The Junior LB played well in week 6 as he made 3 tackles and had a sack as Roger Bacon defeated Norwood 42-6. He plays as an OLB and MLB. Against the run, he quickly keys and diagnoses the play, displays excellent play strength and use of hands as he sheds the block from the OG, locates the ball carrier while playing with good leverage and delivers a good form tackle preventing the RB from gaining significant yardage. Against the pass, he reads the QB and displays good closing speed to get to the WR while delivering a powerful hit preventing a first down.
