Trey Forfinski – Ludington – RB – 5’11” 185 lbs
Forfinski had a great game on Friday and he did it on the air and through the ground. He had 24 carries and totaled 172 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns. He wasn’t done yet because he then threw a TD pass in a trick play. He finished the night with over 200 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs. He was explosive all night and never ran out of energy. His energy level never dipped either and he stayed consistent all night.
Dahmir Farnum – Mona Shores – RB/OLB – 5’8″ 190 lbs
Farnum is a very explosive athlete and has track-level speed. He’s able to get full speed in a hurry and has elite side-to-side agility that helps him make the first defender miss just about every time. He rushed for 143 yards and was gashing the defense all night long. He found the endzone 3 times and 1 of those runs was a long run where he got the corner and raced down to the endzone for the score.
Alex Lee – Spring Lake – RB/OLB – 5’11” 170 lbs
Lee decided Friday was a great day to put on a public clinic and everyone who was in attendance was able to watch. He carried the ball 25 times and rushed for 251-yards. He was picking up a 1st down on almost every carry and wasn’t going down without a fight. He also found the endzone 3 different times. His best score of the night was a long run where he broke a tackle, carried a defender, and extended the ball for the score.
Corey Vanderputte – Oakridge – RB – 5’10” 170 lbs
Vanderputte didn’t get a ton of work but he was more than dynamic on Friday. He only had 9 carries but he finished the night with 165 rushing yards. He found the endzone 3 times on carries of 17, 31, and 44-yards. He has a very strong upper body which allows him to get those hard-fought yards. Moving forward he could get more work because he showed what he’s able to do and he could get more work in the coming weeks.
Brady Jacobs – Grant – QB/WR/CB – 6’0″ 170 lbs
Jacobs was fantastic on Friday. He didn’t need to touch the ball much to light up the scoreboard. He only had to throw the ball 12 times. He completed 8 of them and had 168 passing yards. He also rushed for another 155-yards on the ground while tallying 3 rushing TDs. Jacobs is a dynamic athlete and with the ball in his hands, he’s always a threat to score. He’s developing in the passing game and his mechanics are getting better week to week.
