Huntley’s season record: 17-8
Los Alamitos vs. Santa Margarita
Analysis: Los Alamitos wraps its pretty tough nonleague schedule with a road game against a Trinity League team in Santa Margarita. [player_tooltip player_id="25419" first="Malachi" last="Nelson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25398" first="Makai" last="Lemon"] are really clicking this season. Lemon leads the Griffins in receiving with 414 yards and five touchdowns. Santa Margarita is coming off a nice win over Nolan Catholic of Texas in which [player_tooltip player_id="25428" first="Jaxon" last="Potter"] was very good for the Eagles at quarterback. The question of this game is can the Santa Margarita offensive line protect Potter from Los Al’s defensive front. The key matchups are Eagles’ offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id="143134" first="Kilian" last="O’Connor"] and [player_tooltip player_id="145203" first="Jalani" last="Liva"] against [player_tooltip player_id="25362" first="Sinn" last="Brennan"] and [player_tooltip player_id="141956" first="Adam" last="Tomczyk"].
The pick: Los Alamitos
Mission Viejo vs. Alemany
Analysis: Mission Viejo is coming off a bye after a nice win over Long Beach Poly. [player_tooltip player_id="187301" first="Kenny" last="Manassero"] had his biggest game at running back after the Diablos offensive line got healthy. [player_tooltip player_id="25408" first="Mikey" last="Matthews"] is Mission Viejo’s top receiver and Alemany’s biggest challenge to cover. The Warriors are coming off their first win of the season against Oaks Christian. [player_tooltip player_id="141912" first="Dylan" last="Gebbia"] got all the reps at quarterback for Alemany after a bit of a controversy at the position. Alemany has the stars in [player_tooltip player_id="25229" first="Larry" last="Turner-Gooden"], [player_tooltip player_id="25237" first="Ephesians" last="Prysock"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25231" first="Niuafe" last="Tuihalamaka"] on defense to slow down Mission Viejo. Alemany may have figured things out against Oaks Christian, but Mission Viejo is better than Oaks Christian.

The pick: Alemany
Long Beach Poly vs. Centennial
Analysis: Poly beat Leuzinger for its first win of the season. [player_tooltip player_id="25344" first="Shea" last="Kuykendall"] had his best game of the season with three touchdown passes and Devin Samples averaged nearly 9 yards per carry. Jason Robinson had two touchdown catches and was promptly offered by USC. Centennial is a whole different animal than Leuzinger. The Huskies are coming off a blowout win over JSerra. [player_tooltip player_id="25365" first="Izzy" last="Carter"] has emerged as one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in Southern California. [player_tooltip player_id="25243" first="Jaden" last="Mickey"] may matchup against Robinson which is a marquee matchup. I think Centennial is too talented and diverse as an offense for Poly to stop.
The pick: Centennial

Servite vs. Sierra Canyon
Analysis: Servite is the third best team in the state and may be able to beat one of the top two later this year. [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"] is brilliant and [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"] is a matchup nightmare. [player_tooltip player_id="187307" first="Houston" last="Thomas"] has stepped up big this season and the Friars are great all around. Sierra Canyon is coming off a bye. The Trailblazers are great on defense with stars like Angelo Pulido, [player_tooltip player_id="25275" first="Ezekiel" last="Larry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="143112" first="Caden" last="Harman"]. [player_tooltip player_id="187292" first="Jason" last="Jones"] is a playmaker for Sierra Canyon on offense. I think Servite is too good up front with [player_tooltip player_id="141891" first="Mason" last="Graham"] and [player_tooltip player_id="145257" first="Vaka" last="Hansen"] for Sierra Canyon to handle.
The pick: Servite

Murrieta Valley vs. Norco
Analysis: Norco has blown out three quality programs and is coming off a bye. [player_tooltip player_id="187266" first="Kyle" last="Crum"] is a star at quarterback and Jadyn Ott has been one of the best running backs in the state. Darius Ward is a very good senior player for Norco and leads the defense. This is a mismatch on paper but Murrieta Valley has some stars of its own. [player_tooltip player_id="25258" first="Brandon" last="Rose"] is a very good quarterback and [player_tooltip player_id="25360" first="Tiger" last="Bachmeier"] can play with anybody.
The pick: Norco
Warren vs. Culver City
Analysis: Culver City is a very young team that was supposed to be rebuilding this season but had a big win over Pasadena last week. Freshman quarterback Alonzo Esparza is a future national recruit. Jamiere Munson rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns in that game and Darius Poles is a quality receiver. Warren has outscored its opponents 159-14 over the course of its 4-0 start. [player_tooltip player_id="25390" first="Nico" last="Iamaleava"] is a star and plays his best when playing against another elite quarterbacks. This game will be fun to watch for the quarterback matchup alone.
The pick: Warren
Cathedral Catholic vs. De La Salle
Analysis: Props to Cathedral Catholic for playing a very strong schedule in nonleague and making the trip up north to play a top program. [player_tooltip player_id="141935" first="Charlie" last="Mirer"] is a solid quarterback for the Dons and [player_tooltip player_id="25296" first="Rex" last="Haynes"] may be the best athlete on the field. [player_tooltip player_id="141906" first="Lucky" last="Sutton"] is a great running back and [player_tooltip player_id="25320" first="Jaxson" last="Moi"] is perhaps the best defensive player in San Diego. De La Salle is coming off its first loss to a NorCal team in Saint Francis in years. [player_tooltip player_id="25268" first="Zeke" last="Berry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="186999" first="Bryant" last="Meredith"] are two very good defensive backs for De La Salle and can give the Cathedral offense headaches. Cathedral Catholic is representing San Diego and all of Southern California with pride, but it’s hard to see De La Salle losing two games in a row.
The pick: De La Salle
