Week 4 is up, and that means we’re approaching the midway point of the regular season. Throughout the weeks we’ve had many standout seniors in the Grand Rapids area. Check out the seniors who have performed at the highest level.
Players to Watch
West Catholic RB [player_tooltip player_id="159621" first="Tim" last="Kloska"] - Kloska has led West Catholic to a 4-0 start, with their closest game being decided by 22 points. Kloska has been absolutely incredible, already reaching the 1000-yard mark through just 4 games. Think about that. Through 4 games, Kloska averages over 250 YPG. He’s breaking records and having one heck of a senior campaign, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention West Catholic’s superior offensive line, led by Tim’s brother [player_tooltip player_id="154344" first="Kyle" last="Kloska"].
GR Catholic Central [player_tooltip player_id="30137" first="Nolan" last="Ziegler"] - Explosive. That’s what comes to mind when I think of Ziegler’s game. There’s a reason why he’s a Notre Dame commit, and that reason is dominance against anyone and everyone he faces. It’s going to be very exciting to see Ziegler play in the postseason, as well as at Notre Dame.
Rockford QB [player_tooltip player_id="54861" first="Zak" last="Ahern"] - Out of all the QB’s I’ve watched in person this year, Ahern is the best. His poise and the way he makes his team better is hard to come by at the high school level, and his team is currently red hot, with many outlets calling Rockford one of the best teams in the state.
FH Central WR Jacob Bonnett - A surely overlooked reveicer, Bonnett is having an extraordinary senior campaign. Bonnett wasn’t one of the top names on my radar during the Grand Blanc matchup, but he played very impressively. He’s a shifty slot receiver that almost always makes the first man miss after catch. He’s a RAC machine, and a vital piece of a very good team.
Grand Haven OL [player_tooltip player_id="80486" first="Ashton" last="Lepo"] - Standing at 6’8, 280, the future Spartan is having himself quite the season. Of course, he surely has the size for an elite offensive lineman and he’s making it look easy right now. Case and point, Lepo is a monster and is going to continue to dominate high school ball. I’m excited to see what Lepo can do at the next level.
