#5| 2022 5’6 170 RB Jamar Curtis Jamar Curtis 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB St. John's (DC) | 2022 State MD – St. John’s
Jamar Curtis Jamar Curtis 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB St. John's (DC) | 2022 State MD ran circles around the Don Bosco Prep defense this past Saturday, and he demonstrated his dynamic skillset at the running back position. He scored the game sealing touchdown for the Cadets as well. Curtis’ ability to run after the catch and make players miss is up there with anyone in the WCAC, and this year he is a Senior with a ton of experience under his belt. All opposing defenses must have eyes on Jamar Curtis Jamar Curtis 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB St. John's (DC) | 2022 State MD if they’re going to beat St. John’s this season because he’s certainly one of the top running backs in the DMV.
#4| 2022 6’3 240 DL Dylan Price Dylan Price 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Sidwell Friends | 2022 State MD – Sidwell Friends – UPenn
Sidwell Friends has yet to play their first game of the season, but when they do take the field there’s no doubt that it will be Senior defensive lineman Dylan Price Dylan Price 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Sidwell Friends | 2022 State MD leading the charge for this Quaker football team. Price is a game changing player who puts a ton of pressure on quarterbacks and ball carriers. At the high school level, Price can be seen making big plays pretty much anywhere on the field. Since it’s impossible to win football games alone, we’ll see if the UPenn commit can fire his teammates up enough to get involved in the action on Thursday against St. John’s Catholic Prep. Dylan Price Dylan Price 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Sidwell Friends | 2022 State MD will be all over the field making big plays on opening day that’s for certain.
#3| 2022 6’0 185 DB Phil Rawlins Phil Rawlins 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB St. John's | 2022 State MD – St. John’s
There’s no question that Phil Rawlins Phil Rawlins 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB St. John's | 2022 State MD is a premier defensive back in the District of Columbia. He’s also on a premier program in D.C., St. John’s, who earned a dominant win this weekend while only allowing 6 points and seemingly zero big plays downfield. The key to their secondary’s success is their communication and that all starts with Phil Rawlins Phil Rawlins 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB St. John's | 2022 State MD . Rawlins always makes sure his teammates are in position to defend the upcoming play, and if something is off then he always intervenes and fixes it himself. He’s a true leader in the secondary for St. John’s, and ball throwers in the WCAC better beware of Rawlins come game time.
#2| 2022 6’3 170 WR DJ Linkins DJ Linkins 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR St. John's | 2022 State MD – St. John’s
If there was any doubt as to how dominant DJ Linkins DJ Linkins 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR St. John's | 2022 State MD is coming into Saturday’s game against Don Bosco then Linkins certainly shattered all of that doubt with his breakout performance. With a spectacular touchdown and a few big time plays, DJ Linkins DJ Linkins 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR St. John's | 2022 State MD finds himself atop the Cadets’ depth chart at WR, and he’s on track to be in the same position on the All-Conference team. Linkins continues to display a high level of comfort with quarterback Wyatt Hagan Wyatt Hagan 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB St. John's | 2022 State MD , and if the two continue to be this dominant then a conference title will just be the beginning for this team. D.J. Linkins is the best receiver in D.C. and maybe even in the entire the DMV.
#1| 2022 6’1 215 LB Jordan Schuler – Gonzaga
Jordan Schuler was as good as it gets on opening day as the Gonzaga defense thwarted the Friendship Collegiate Academy in a 37-0 shutout victory. Schuler rushed off the edge in dominant fashion throughout the game and recorded multiple sacks. He also clogged the inside relentlessly well which prevented Friendship from running the ball efficiently. This was by no means Gonzaga’s toughest test, but if players like Jordan Schuler continue to play as dominantly as they have been then the Purple Eagles will be playing for a WCAC title at least.
