Senior talent will play a big role in Belleville’s 2021 campaign. They have a lot of contributors from the class of 2022 and it should make a difference this season. After a tough loss to West Bloomfield in the 2020 state semifinals, Belleville will be out for revenge as a top rated team in the state. They have a talented roster with players who will play at the division one level next year. After players like [player_tooltip player_id="29536" first="Damon" last="Payne"], a class of 2021 defensive tackle, committed to Alabama last year, the precedent has been set at Belleville as they look to build off of that success in the recruiting ranks.

Let’s take a look at some of the top players for Belleville and how they will contribute in 2021.

The team is headlined by [player_tooltip player_id="160570" first="Myles" last="Rowser"], who is an Arkansas commit for the class of ’22. Rowser is a top three player in Michigan because of his elite instincts and defensive ability. He can tackle well and has the athleticism to keep up with even the fastest receivers and running backs in the pass game. Although he’s a safety, his ability to play the linebacker-safety hybrid role is impressive and should be utilized at the next level.

The ability to play both ways is one of [player_tooltip player_id="30130" first="Christian" last="Rapley"]’s biggest strengths. He is a force to be reckon with on offense, utilizing his speed and footwork to glide by defenders. On defense, he has a ton of range at the safety position and can make plays on the football. He’s currently uncommitted but has 10 division one offers.

With 10 division one offers to his name, [player_tooltip player_id="30160" first="Jeremiah" last="Caldwell"] is set for a big senior season for Belleville. Big strides and a tall, but slender frame has college coaches excited for Caldwell could be at the next level. Caldwell is a force at the line of scrimmage, being able to dodge and weave defenders and get open quickly for his quarterback. He can also go up top and use his speed to track down deep balls.

Vision is a key aspect of [player_tooltip player_id="30147" first="Deshaun" last="Lee"]’s game that often gets overlooked. He can find holes quickly and exploit the defense with his speed once he bursts through the hole. Lee could be a dynamic threat at the next level with his position versatility. He can lineup outside and run routes or set up in the backfield and find creases to run through at the line of scrimmage. As a cornerback, Lee has lock down ability and can mirror receivers well. He has impressive press ability and is top notch when it comes to hand fighting.

[player_tooltip player_id="30157" first="Ja’Kobe" last="Watkins"] has committed to Southeastern Missouri State recently and could be a key part of a successful season for Belleville. He is a bully in the trenches and it shows up on tape. With offensive lineman becoming more athletic and being able to pull as well as move to the next level on zone blocking schemes, Watkins fits that mold perfectly. He should be exciting to watch this season and at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="30174" first="Cameron" last="Dyson"] is a bad dude on the football field, in the nicest way possible. If you see him coming your way, chances are it wont end well. He is physical and will run you over if you get in his way, but don’t doubt his technical abilities. Dyson is always in the right place at the right time with unique vision and instincts at the linebacker position. At 6’3, 205 pounds, his potential is full of promise and we should see him have his best season yet with Belleville in 2021. Dyson has 5 offers including Ball State and Western Michigan, with that number set to rise as we begin the season in just a few weeks.
