There are 14 athletes in the updated Missouri Class of 2022 rankings and 31 athletes overall including the watch list. Today we are breaking down the top five and noting the next five. 1. Jared Rhodes Jared Rhodes 5'11" | 200 lbs | ATH Ladue | 2022 State MO , Ladue
Rhodes, a solidly-built 5-foot-11, 200-pounder, is ranked as the No. 40 overall prospect in the Missouri Class of 2022. He is a difference maker on both sides of the ball, at running back and safety, but likely projects as a safety or undersized linebacker at the next level. In five games last season, he led Ladue with 628 total yards (538 rushing, 90 receiving) and eight touchdowns and also added 16 tackles and two interceptions. Rhodes has received scholarship offers from Navy and Indiana State.
2. Keyshaun Elliott Keyshaun Elliott 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Richmond | 2022 State MO , Richmond
Elliott, the No. 42 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, is a big and strong 6-3, 220-pounder who plays quarterback and linebacker, but is being recruited by colleges as a linebacker. (Prep Redzone had previously ranked him as a quarterback.) Elliott, whose grandfather Lenvil Elliott played nine seasons in the NFL as a running back, has received scholarship offers from Kansas, Northern Iowa, Illinois State, South Dakota, Air Force and Southeast Missouri State.
3. Donnell Dye Donnell Dye 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Lee's Summit North | 2022 State MO , Lee’s Summit North
The No. 55 overall prospect in the Missouri Class of 2022 rankings, Dye is an athletic 6-2, 190-pounder who plays wide receiver and defensive back and will be a name to watch this fall. He recently received his first scholarship offer from Tennessee-Martin, but he should get more attention as college coaches pay close attention to Lee’s Summit North this season. Dye finished sixth in the 200-meter dash (22.12) at the Missouri Class 5 state track and field championships this spring.
4. Michael Haggerty Michael Haggerty 6'4" | 215 lbs | ATH St. Michael the Archangel | 2022 State MO , St. Michael the Archangel
Haggerty, a 6-4, 215-pounder, checks in as the No. 57 overall prospect in the Missouri Class of 2022. He is a wide receiver-tight end on offense, where he had 31 receptions for 539 yards and five touchdowns as a junior, and is listed as a middle linebacker on defense. With his size, frame and athleticism, it wouldn’t surprise if Haggerty ended up as a tight end or defensive end-outside linebacker in college. He recently received his first scholarship offer, from Drake, but he could be a guy who blows up this fall as more coaches get a look at him.
5. Dalesean Staley Dalesean Staley 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Blue Springs | 2022 State MO , Blue Springs (Northern Iowa)
Staley, an athletic 6-1, 190-pound wide receiver and strong safety-outside linebacker, is the only player on this list who has made a college commitment. Staley pledged to Northern Iowa on July 17 after also receiving offers from Fort Hayes State and Northwest Missouri State. Most of Staley’s junior highlights show him making catches and blocking on the perimeter, but with his combination of size, speed and athleticism he could be an impact player on defensive side of the ball in college.
Next five:
Nolan Reed Nolan Reed 6'3" | 215 lbs | ATH North County | 2022 State MO , North County
Ayden Robinson-Wayne Ayden Robinson-Wayne 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR CBC | 2022 State MO , CBC
Seth Marcione Seth Marcione 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH De Smet | 2022 State MO , De Smet
Armon Hill Armon Hill 6'0" | 200 lbs | ATH Hazelwood East | 2022 State MO , Hazelwood East
