[player_tooltip player_id="136547" first="Emery" last="Jones"] announced his commitment to hometown LSU on Friday evening.
The Catholic (Baton Rouge) tackle became the fourth in-state standout to share his intentions of playing offensive line for the Tigers at the next level.
Jones joined Neville’s [player_tooltip player_id="136546" first="Will" last="Campbell"] and Newman’s [player_tooltip player_id="136548" first="Bo" last="Bordelon"], as well as Lafayette Christian star [player_tooltip player_id="136581" first="Fitzgerald" last="West"] Jr., the two-way lineman coach Ed Orgeron and his staff are projecting as a center.
LSU had signed just two offensive linemen in 2021 and three in 2022 total — all from out of state — before this particularly strong cycle.
<p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>LSU commits</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136546" first="Will" last="Campbell"] — 6-6, 290 OL — Neville</strong></p>

The Tigers haven’t been the only Division-I programs in the state or region — or, in some cases, even on a more national scale — to take advantage of the strong cohort.
At least seven other top offensive line prospects have already announced commitments, including another SEC school and three other in-state colleges.
<p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Other commits</strong></p>

Several other rising seniors could be vying for Division-I opportunities, as well, including a few such as [player_tooltip player_id="136551" first="Kaden" last="Moreau"], [player_tooltip player_id="136554" first="Ashanti" last="Cole"], [player_tooltip player_id="136555" first="Kaleb" last="Proctor"] and [player_tooltip player_id="136558" first="Greg" last="Knox"] to have garnered Power Five attention.
This fall could prove pivotal in determining just how high some of their recruiting ceilings reach.
