<em>An inside look into some of the new 2024 offensive prospects in the Prep Redzone Rankings.</em> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169410" first="Bryson" last="Dedmon"], WR, Basha</strong> Dedmon is a fluid athlete with explosive playmaking potential. Shows great acceleration and burst out of his breaks to gain separation and make himself a target. He’s a natural pass catcher that is confident using his hands and making catches outside his framework. He’s a threat to score every time touches the ball with his great top end speed and elusiveness in the open field. Picked up his first offer from NAU in June and will be a top target for Basha and QB [player_tooltip player_id="115519" first="Demond" last="Williams"]. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169412" first="Zues" last="Pinder"], RB, Millennium</strong> Flashed good potential and upside in varsity action as a freshman. Love his versatility, showed he can pick up tough yardage between the tackles, turn the corner to the outside with speed, and catch the ball out of the backfield. Good natural instincts and awareness, he sees the field well and is savvy with the ball in his hands. Strong combination of power and speed, he never stops his feet making him extremely difficult to tackle. Shows good mobility, feet, and bend to be an effective blocker in space and at the second level. Possesses natural strength and power at the POA to control the LOS and get a push as a run blocker. Drives his feet through contact and has a tough, physical, and aggressive playing style. D1 potential with a great foundational skillset as he develops his fundamentals and technique. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169422" first="Cameron" last="Hackworth"], QB, Sabino</strong> A dynamic and versatile athlete that can make plays with his arm or his legs. Displays a high football IQ with his ability to run the RPO and make quick, decisive, and accurate reads. Strong passer, he shows he can be accurate while throwing off different platforms from the pocket or on the run to either direction. Great ability to maneuver around the pocket and escape pressure while keeping his eyes downfield for an open target. Has the ability and talent to impact the game from all over the field. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169423" first="Jayden" last="Staple"], RB, Saguaro</strong> Explosive athlete that is a homerun threat every time he touches the ball using his speed, quickness, and lateral agility. He’s patient while reading his blocks and finding a lane but hits the hole hard with great burst and acceleration once he does. Good change-of-direction, he makes quick lateral cuts and bursts out to make defenders miss both at the LOS and in space. Great top end and breakaway speed. Has potential to be highly recruited and one of the top backs in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169426" first="Dylan" last="Lee"], RB, Williams Field<img class=" wp-image-136303 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/04/PRZ-Generic-Gray.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /></strong> Strong skillset with good speed and elusiveness in the open field. Loves his ability to make defenders miss with his start/stop speed and quick jump cuts. He’s a balanced ball carrier that sees the field well and can hit the cut back lane. Good ability and hands as a receiver out of the backfield or lined up in the slot, tracks the ball well in the air. Will be a big time playmaker for Williams Field as he develops at the varsity level. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169428" first="Legend" last="Bernard"], WR, Hamilton</strong> Strong route runner that can attack a defense in a variety of ways but excels as a downfield vertical threat using his speed to slip by coverage. High positional IQ for a young WR, he understands how to get open and is creative in doing so. Great release move against both press and off coverage. Shows a good ability to track and adjust to ball flight. Good hands but would like to see less body catching as he continues to develop. Strong skillset to build on as he progresses. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169439" first="Layton" last="Firestone"], OL, Hamilton</strong> Massive size and frame for a rising sophomore at 6’5” 315 lbs. He can overpower opponents and be a violent finisher with his combination of strength and size. Shows functional mobility and feet in his pass set and when firing off the ball. Good ability to latch on and sustain his blocks while driving his feet through contact. Displays good efficient hand usage and technique. Will be an interesting prospect/recruit as he develops and matures.
