Prep Redzone looks at some of the Stock Risers in New Jersey’s class of 2022. Today, we take a look at several defensive linemen that just missed making the cut for the most recent rankings update. After looking at some more film, Prep Redzone has its eyes on several defensive lineman for the next Class of 2022 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id="28019" first="Anthony" last="Kaspereen"]/6-5/290/New Providence
Kaspereen has the body of a defensive end but also plays inside at the defensive tackle position. His size and strength makes him tough to block, so he’s able to get penetration behind the opponent’s line of scrimmage. We might have to review this in a few months because he’s also an offensive lineman. Kaspereen has great size for an offensive guard prospect.
[player_tooltip player_id="158929" first="Brandon" last="Armstrong"]/6-0/245/Paulsboro
Armstrong made 45 total tackles (24 solo) in seven games during the 2020 season. He has limited highlights but I do like his quickness off the ball. Armstrong is a little undersized, but he produces on the football field.
[player_tooltip player_id="158930" first="Dylan" last="Patscher"]/6-2/240/Jefferson Township
Patscher had an impressive junior year season campaign in 2020. He made 64 total tackles (13 solo) with 14 tackles for a loss. Patscher is among the best on this list for hand usage. I also like the way he speeds up to the ball carrier when making a tackle. Patscher shows some explosiveness and shoots through the gap with impressive quickness. He attacks blocks with a consistent base and balance. Patscher is a sleeper at the defensive tackle position and will be ranked during the next update.
[player_tooltip player_id="158932" first="John" last="Dodaro"]/6-3/235/Lacey Township
Dodaro is a defensive end that makes things happen on the football field. Whether it’s sacking the quarterback, forcing fumbles, blocking punts/field goals, or just making tackles, opponents felt Dodaro’s presence. There’s a low success rate for teams that try to run around him. Dodaro has the upper-body strength to separate from blocks with ease. One thing he can work on is becoming more violent with his hands. Dodaro made 54 total tackles and sacked the quarterback six times in nine games last season.
[player_tooltip player_id="158933" first="Michael" last="Grant"]/6-3/210/Hackensack
Grant racked up 55 total tackles and an incredible 18 tackles for a loss in six games last season. Grant is under the radar because of his team losing five out of the six games that they played during the 2020 season.
[player_tooltip player_id="28000" first="Steven" last="Demboski"]/6-4/270/Pascack Valley
Demboski made 24 total tackles (8 solo) and sacked the quarterback three times in the four games he played in last season. I watched some of his measurement video that he posted on Twitter. In one clip, Demboski jumps out of the pool to show his explosiveness. He also measured his hands (10.5 inches wide) and his wingspan (32.5 inches). We'll continue to keep tabs on him to see if he's able to improve his status as a recruit in the next 4-7 weeks.
