Siegel is a key player on the powerhouse Saguaro defense and will enter the 2021 season with a big role for his senior campaign. He comes off a solid year where he was named "All-State LB". He displays solid instincts and play rec and does a great job identifying and filling alleys to meet ball carriers at the LOS. He is strong at the POA and has shown glimpses of delivering a strong initial strike when he can get squared up. He has good short area quickness and closing speed as a tackler with solid physicality all around. He sheds and disengages from blocks well and possesses functional strength, as he transfers the weight room to the field nicely. Good football IQ as he seems to have a good understanding of zone responsibilities and is strong in coverage. He consistently flies to the ball and is a very good asset to the Saguaro defense. He’s attended a handful of camps and currently holds an offer from Lake Forest College, along with a 3.8 GPA.

<strong>Fabian Lopez</strong>, <em>ATH, 5’8" 170lbs, Desert Edge ’22<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-136303" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/04/PRZ-Generic-Gray-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /></em>

Don’t let his size fool you, Lopez plays with a scrappy and gritty demeanor and does a phenomenal job as the H-back for Desert Edge. He often lines up in the slot, where he is a clean route runner and has flashed explosiveness. Lopez is a major mismatch against manned up LB’s with his twitch and quickness and will consistently generate large separation. He possesses soft hands and tracks the ball well, and can be dangerous in space. Lopez is very shifty while having a solid COD and has shown the ability to make opponents miss in space. He flashes a nasty spin move which has been very effective for him to pick up big chunks of yards. He’s utilized in the backfield as well where he showcases that COD and shiftiness well once again, and is a very impressive and willing blocker in the run game. He takes on LB’s and DE’s nearly triple is size and is still able to redirect and open up lanes for [player_tooltip player_id="42823" first="Jeryll" last="Mcintosh"]. Definitely an underrated ’22 player that is deserving of attention.
