If you live in Arizona, then you know that Chandler, Saguaro, and Hamilton are powerhouse programs consistently stacked with DI talent. In 2021, they will have the opportunity to test themselves against other powerhouse programs from different states, with some getting national attention. There’s no question that premier talent and competition will be on display in Arizona this fall, so take a look at the intriguing out-of-state matchups:
Chandler vs Cherry Creek (Colorado)
The undefeated open division champs will take on the highly touted Cherry Creek program from Colorado at Chandler High on September 10th. Cherry Creek also comes off an undefeated 2020 season where they went 9-0 while surrendering just 41 points all season. Both teams are loaded with premier talent, as the two powerhouse programs will go toe to toe and test themselves against out-of-state competition.

Hamilton vs Bishop Gorman (Nevada)
The 13th ranked team in the nation Bishop Gorman is set to visit Hamilton High on September 17th. Hamilton comes off a 23-21 loss to Chandler in the 2020 open division state championship, finishing 8-2 on the year with both losses coming against Chandler. Bishop Gorman is a consistent national powerhouse that is a feeding ground for power 5 level talent. Hamilton we bring back a number of highly touted players which will make for a dog fight type of atmosphere at Hamilton High in September.

Saguaro vs Sierra Canyon (California)
Saguaro will host Sierra Canyon from California on October 15th for a big mid-season matchup, which is yet another out-of-state matchup that is absolutely stacked with talent on both sides of the ball. Saguaro comes off a 5-2 season (only 6 games actually played) where they were hit with unfortunate circumstances in the playoffs as they were forced to forfeit the open division quarterfinals against Salpointe Catholic due to COVID. Sierra Canyon comes off a short 5-1 season with their only loss coming in week 1 against powerhouse St. John Bosco 42-21.
