– CB/ RB
Nation is one of the top players for Roswell who will be returning this upcoming season, and his ability as a DB is far beyond most in his class. To start, he turns and runs well, and does a good job of flipping his hips in coverage. This allows him to position himself to make plays on the ball, including interceptions. Even though he has slow feet at times, he does have good reactionary skills, which is proven by the way in which he is able to adjust to receivers in coverage. When the ball is in the air, he does not get lost in coverage often, and he high points the ball well. Even though we would like a bit more technique out of his game, he does bend well, which helps his overall movement skills. Next season, expect him to continue to be big when it comes to turnovers.
Robbie Roper Robbie Roper 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Roswell | 2022 State GA – QB
After evaluating Roper, we have come to a conclusion that he has a very high upside, but is very raw in his ability. He has a great release, in which he is able to get the ball out quickly, but it can be inconsistent at times at the point in which he lets go of the ball. He also has poor footwork, which can cause him to be a bit off on some of his throws. Regardless, we love him arm strength, and the way in which he can throw with good touch. He also makes incredible off platform throws, and his athleticism allows him to maneuver the pocket well, and to even become a threat on the ground to opposing defenses. To improve in his game, we would like to see him work on the way he maintains a pocket presence, as well as how he squares his shoulders when throwing the ball.
Jayven Hall- LB
As part of the stable of backs that Roswell has, Hall displays his own unique ability that makes him a big contributor to his team, but he is primarily a LB. At LB, Hall is patient in the way he approaches the run game, and he makes good reads, and he attacks both the hole, and the ball carrier very well. He takes great angles, but occasionally, he can miss due to the fact that he can trail on some of his tackles. Hall is also a strong player, in which he shows that he can transfer his power within his tackles very cleanly, and finish them to the ground. It can also be said that Hall plays with a great motor, which is one of the most beneficial things for a LB to have. To take his game to the next level though, Hall will need to improve in his speed. This can drastically improve some of his results that he sees in pursuit.
Ryan Hill- WR/ RB
Hill is a very fun offensive prospect to evaluate due to the various ways in which his offense utilizes him. Not only does he run decent routes as a receiver, but he tracks the ball well when it is in the air, and he displays great balance when shaking defenders to get up field and gain positive yards. With this, Ryan also catches the ball with strong hands, and runs with a good burst, and twitch. With this, he also plays the RB position, and these same traits seem to translate to his play out of the backfield, as he is able to change direction on a dime, and get in and out of his breaks cleanly. When lining up as a back, he has good vision of the defense as well, and does a great job of adjusting at the line of scrimmage. He truns the corner well too, and can be seen to have great short area quickness. Moving forward, you can expect him to develop into a great player for his team, as he will likely be one of their stars this season.
