Roster Breakdown: Pittsburgh Central Catholic

Central Catholic who is one of the best football programs from the WPIAL, winning their 6^th WPIAL title last season at the highest level of competition. Their 2020 season ended earlier than expected due to Covid and missed a chance to run the tables in the PIAA Playoffs. Nothing will change for the 2021 season and you better believe they will come back hungrier than ever. Central Catholic is always loaded with talent and we take a look at their 2021 roster. &nbsp; Don’t know what the QB situation will look like now that <strong>Adam Oberin</strong> is gone but know the name <strong>Brandon Pezzelle</strong>. Brandon who will be a senior got some playing time last season. Brandon has the size and shows a high, tight, quick release with good arm strength. I expect him to be the starting QB for the 2021 season. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/12463991/5f5d442b6e81990be0490b85" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; RB: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="69214" first="Antonio" last="Pitts"] </strong>5’10; 2022 Antonio should be taking over the workload since [player_tooltip player_id="27348" first="Eddy" last="Tillman"] is no longer there. Antonio is the same type of back as Eddy, quick with speed, so Central Catholic should have no problem making any changes in the running game. Since Antonio really has not had much playing time and if he wants a chance to play at the FBS level, he is really going to have to shine in his senior season. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/11683642/5fa2e68f176ce30a7029558f" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; WR: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="42751" first="Brandon" last="Jackson"]</strong> 5’7 160; 2022 Brandon is a small guy, but he is quick and fast. He did receive a preferred walk-on to Pitt a few weeks ago. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/11402056/5f6fc4a2da524d0930638096" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; OL/DL: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="95850" first="Matt" last="Aulicino"]</strong> 6’7 220; 2022 I believe Matt is an offensive tackle, but he needs to add a lot of weight to play at the next level. He does have offers from Akron and Army. <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/14728351/5fbda797d45e9c09b449253d" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; DT: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27694" first="Donovan" last="Hinish"] </strong>6’2 270; 2022 Donovan is undersized but is a physical kid who has a really good get off with good change of direction. He received his first offer late November from Notre Dame. He has added a couple more Power 5 offers with Pitt and Virginia Tech. Right now, he’s locked in as our 1^st ranked linebacker in the 2024 class. As long as he continues to dominate, he should be one of the best linebackers from PA in his class. He produced the last 2 years and I expect him to continue to produce at a high level. Still have concerns about his ball skills. He has quickness with speed. Shows to high point with good ball skills. He does need to improve as a tackler.
